  1. Delivery could be a problem, apparently Royal Mail are on strike...
  2. Seriously? You think Doidge would get into our team? Hope you're not thinking that on Saturday night!
  3. I noticed that LJ came up with idea of getting a sniper to talk to his troops. Is that the same guy that takes potshots at Boyle every week?
  4. Great opportunity to get Random Guy in as Boyd’s replacement. Do not waste it!
  5. Just watched the JR post-match interview on DUFC twitter and wouldn't be surprised if he did walk. He seemed to be stressing that he is not getting a response from the players.
  6. I’m not so sure your squad is as strong as some of the fans think. Problem is, JR needs better signings, not just more signings. Hladky, remember him, would be a good signing as you desperately need to sign a better keeper than those currently at Tannadice. Some steel in midfield is clearly a must as its no good having ‘skilful’ players if they don’t get any possession. Thanks for leaving Gogic for us, but your recruitment department needs to find a good quality DM quick. I think you’ll continue to struggle unless you bring 3 or 4 tried and tested players in very soon. Jack has been keen to nick our players in the past but he needs a new strategy…quickly.
  7. A United fan had said that their deal with Gogic was scuppered when JR took over. Think he might regret that when Gogic replaces Ethan with ten minutes to go tomorrow, and then scores a hat-trick.
  8. Don’t know why the keeper is being criticised, he deserves at least the next game before you all rush to judge him.
  9. At least the transfer window has yet to slam shut. JR might be calling Zander and Gogic today, hoping that they were not watching last night's 'performance'...
  10. Seems like a sensible appointment for many reasons. Last thing you need is someone who doesn’t know the club, or the players, and going through the usual square pegs in round holes scenario for several months. It’s good to see him getting his chance and it could be ideal for the academy to first team route as well. Not sure about Brian Kerr though. Hope SH does well, but not too well obviously. Surprised so many Well fans would settle for tenth place this early in the season!
  11. Not sure you're being pessimistic enough there Elvis...
  12. That’s my feelings about this. The jury is still out on him at Saints but I hope it works out.
  13. For the sake of clarity, I would rather they went for anyone on that list. I would be willing to provide a reference for Mr Stubbs.
  14. I would be surprised if it was any of the 15 listed in the poll. Big Dunc would be a better option than any of them but I’m not sure that he wants to move back to Scotland anytime soon. Surely the ‘Well fans can come up with some better suggestions?
  15. Can't you wait until Monday? Looks like you are Hibsing us - I'm sure they pulled this stunt - sacking their Manager just before playing the mighty Saints -twice last season...
  16. 'Well's website still has the game taking place tomorrow rather than Sunday. I expect Alexander wants to start without us, but going by the 'Well thread on P&B, we might even be winning by the time our players turn up on Sunday.
  17. I see that Legia Warsaw are actually paying Aberdeen real money to take Bates off their hands. On that basis Charlie D must be worth about £500k now.
  18. Good to get a badly needed win yesterday, even if it was a dead rubber against a team from two leagues below us. Ayunga was unlucky not to get a hat-trick and he’ll surely score more than Obika did as he seems able to take chances in the six-yard box. Keanu looks a player. An impressive debut for someone who has had a hectic week. Reminded me of Tim Cahill with his enthusiasm and all-action style. He will be a big asset this season. Strain is getting better with every game, so we will have plenty of options on the right. The academy lads showed up well too. Slight concern is the tendency to lose goals to breakaways, this really needs to be addressed asap. It did look as though their goal was offside though, so maybe VAR will help. Shout out to Tait for his assist for the third goal, who needs Tanser!
  19. Wee Danny will score an occasional belter but you’ll get used to him missing sitters in most games. He does ‘work hard’ and can be a pest to defenders but you will find that he spends a lot of time falling over too easily. The refs are wise to him now and he won’t win as many free kicks, so it can be very frustrating when he loses possession. He was decent in the Championship, for several clubs including the Saints, but not really good enough for the Premier league. Should do a job alongside big Brian, just don’t expect too much.
  20. The lad (and his dad?) have come to a sensible decision about his immediate future, so let’s just enjoy watching him develop and flourish in the black and white stripes. No buts…
  21. I’d rather we went with the keepers we have than bring in Robbie McCrorie. Just saying.
  22. I’m not too worried yet, but I don’t recall us creating much at all on Saturday. We would have been more threatening with Brophy up front but we hardly worked their keeper all afternoon.
