I actually do the food thing but admit it is very odd. I'll eat veg first, then potato product (chips, roast potatoes etc..) then finally the meat.

Same, though I can't remember the last time I had two of any different thing on the same forkful (veg does not count). My uncle (by marriage) does this too, which I found out about after my aunt tagged him in a facebook post. My gran sometimes has one thing and then the other and a mix of something else and then back to the first and I frankly just think it seems a schizophrenic way of eating. I would prefer to finish a meal with aftertaste which is best tasting.

We were floor seated at The Hydro so most are a bit blurry due to zoom. But this was from 19th of June, 2018

Pair of scissors every time as a stand against authority

I've gotten used to the positioning now so I can live with the attached lid. (I still think it's an entirely stupid idea. I mean, really; so they can be recycled with the bottle? Were we not gonna meet our Climate Change CO2 lowering/upwards recycling levels because of... bottle lids??)

What I now find worse is that when you twist the lid off, the tiny bits that were holding it on are now left poking into space/your upper lip. That annoys me much more than bending a lid back now.

Anyone I went to see is dead, or very near it, except The Damned. I will go to Dr Feelgood and 9 below zero in October. There's a fairly good chance enough will survive to form one band

I've seen The Damned. Didn't convince me, but they were a support act at the time. My mum enjoyed herself though...
Actually thinking about it, the main act they played with (Hollywood Vampires) would maybe count as "very near dead" under the sub-section of "after what you put your body through, how are you still standing/touring?"

  7. I overheard a hunny-bhear on the train today mentioning Kelly, but also that they think they have to sell Buttocksland to "have a transfer budget" (their words). It made me double-think the role of LK in his return to Castle Greyskull. See it might just be me, but on the other side of Glasgow I've never really rated the currently-overly-eulogised Hart. KVV's goal against them last season epitomised for me the idea that Hart, like most OF GK'S, are only actually any good because of the ten million-pound-players in front of them that ensure any of their number 1's must face the least amount of shots on target. Either sides defence and style of play means their GK's can faff about most of the time and reap all the plaudits.
So someone we identify as a "confidence" keeper like Kelly, whose best games were when he had a functioning backline and competent folk in front of him, might be just who they're looking for. Can they afford better? UndoubEBTdly. Do they really need to? Maybe not tbh. Sure, Liam disappears from crosses like Jesus at Easter, but when your side only faces 2 a game then that's not soooo bad.

  8. idk if it belongs in here or the Tinpot thread, but the decision to show the match, the punditry pick-over, the discussions, interviews with the players and managers, trophy celebration... And then go back in time to "We found two Sad Sacks with houses full of club shop tat, here's their heavily vetted ideas of what they would do before the game" and "Here's some random pissed folks' score predictions for the game we just analysed to death" then "here's the highlights of the highlights you just watched" and "oh look, what we showed you earlier didn't change in the replays, let's find out how our Sad Sacks reacted"... just me thinks it's a bit weird? Or is it just an excuse to extend the media's spunking over the mould firm to a full hour program?

  9. Twin Atlantic at the O2 Academy last night were really great. Getting to finally meet them afterwards (and after seeing them 5 times) made me really chuffed. Especially as Sam apologised for them vanishing after the Barras gig 2 years ago, and found out Barry is originally/used to be from Hamilton.

Next for me is a surprising new addition; my friends band (PowderKeg) is supporting The Middlenight Men and Chris Catalyst at Audio tomorrow night. Tickets 14.50 in advance but probably available on the door for a bit more if anyone fancies escaping the mould firm rejects that will be plagueing the rest of the city centre. Doors at 7pm.

No Lesbian Death Bed, disappointed Craig!

Not sure if I'd add them to my best ever gig list, but they are playing Ivory Blacks in November if you think they might make yours? Also they have an indiegogo campaign for the horror film they are making if you fancy getting anything from a soundtrack CD up to your name in the credits or being an extra! ;)

  10. For all the copious amounts of JD I've drank and professed a love for in the past 17yrs I've never had a bottle of this. Tried some of a friends in a pub once but never had my own, sister bought me this in December. Drinking it straight so far, very sweet but still the JD taste in there.

I'd also like to maybe see a couple of the youngsters like Wells/Ferrie/Garcia get a wee half hour run out. I'll be bold and predict a couple of late goals and a 3-1 home win to sign off with.

3-1 because we won't keep a clean sheet, and +2 gives us 0 goal difference just for a laugh.
And also agree - give the kids a half hour! (Though a betting man would say it's Davor and Moses coming on at 75' for Paton and Vale instead)

What does he get to deal with the cat when it starts buzzing around the living room?

He needs a cow. That deals with the goat after the goat deals with the dog, supposing the dog has dealt with the cat first and that only after the cat has caught the bird which should've been the first step after seeing the spider.

Personally I just chill with the spiders in this house. There's at least 5 or 6 that I know of. No flies though.

Also available on TicketWeb if you want to avoid the Evil Empire.

"TicketWeb, a division of Ticketmaster, delivers the most powerful engine for connecting fans with live events." source
Looked into it before, I think the only ones not connected are See Tickets (based in Nottingham and now owned by a French company) and Tickets Scotland. Nearly every other ticketbuying website, of which I am signed up to at least 4 or 5, are part of the LiveNation/TM conglomerate. An almost complete monopoly they have at present.

  14. Don't drink either. I do like Bailey's though, so if there was a way to make coffee taste like that then I'd drink it. Till then it's hot chocolate when I want something hot. I also don't mind coffee-flavoured sweets but again, never had a drink taste like that.

Another good thing about the Weatherspoons app is you can buy your mate a drink if you find out the Spoons they are in and the table number. Done this a few times to get them a drink for their birthday.

There's also at least one facebook group that's shown up as recommended to me. Folk upload pictures of themselves, share the pub and table number and random internet folk buy them drinks through the app. Broadcasting your picture and location to all of facebook where people like me who aren't even in the group can see it sounds like a very weird thing to do and probably invites a whole load of creeps and stalkers.

  17. As a conclusion to the virginmedia issues - not changing. I got an email saying if I renew now then my new contract would be £72. That's £5 cheaper than before and £30 cheaper than what the standard agent wanted me to renew at. Still includes Sky Movies which I wasn't too bothered about but a plus, and I didn't even need to phone retentions - another plus.

  18. Since his appearance on Red TV for our last away game at Aberdeen, the commentator has learned Zdravkovski's name and even pronounced it properly. Maybe puts some actual work in when he knows he's gonna be listened to by more than the sheep, since at that game he called him Davor Lastname or something similar.

He 100% called him David tonight though.

  19. Ketts mentions wanting to be as high up as possible and did the same last year when we were safer but he still put out strong enough teams, which is fair enough I suppose. He also mentioned in the presser that anyone can get into the starting 11 due to the work during the week and he's not going to start messing around just cause we're safe. Probably fair enough also, but I wish he would.

I want Motherwell to win every game but for the rest of the season I'd love Bair continuing to score and the youngsters getting more involved. Chucking on Ross at 90+2 when we're 4-1 up against Livi isn't it. Give him and/or Ferrie at least half an hour.

I see the player of the season awards are appearing tonight, I have never gone to any club events, calendar signings, open days, nights with Tam Cowan, are they worth it?

Open days are good if you have kids. Sometimes a few players wandering around but mainly about the stalls and bouncy castles/facepainting and stuff the last ones I went to. Regularly go to calendar signings, players usually happy to sign stuff and take selfies if you're into that sorta stuff. Last ones they've let us in the dressing room and also the dugout and press interview room as well.
Last player of the year dance I went to I was 10 and don't think it was an official one either. Not sure I'd pay for it myself even if it was half the price.

  22. So now everyone's adding in their bills, mine was £77 and now went up to £102. New customers would get it for £62 and if I took OFF the phoneline and Sky Movies it'd somehow be £140...

New development was today I got a text from them saying I can get £25% off my broadband if I renew.... and would you know it the link sent in the text does not work either on mobile or laptop. (virginmedia.com/renewal) Asks me to sign in and then says We couldn't find the page you are looking for. As broadband is part of the bundle idk how much this discount would be. Looks like it's retentions next week to give them a chance.

Sky's website says there's a £30 connection fee but then prices are around 30-40. Parents pay £174 with Sky Sports, Sky Atlantic and possibly Movies as well.

And what's with Sky's best deal being some weird router type thing that wants you to stream every single thing? Is it soon to be the end of recording things to the box? What if the thing I wanna watch isn't on streaming? What if more than one thing's on at the same time? If I was gonna stream everything I'd dump all TV services and watch on the laptop on websites of a spurious nature.
