I have my doubts about him. His goal tally with us could have at least had another 7/8 on with the amount of sitters he missed. But you can obviously look at that two ways, either the positive spin that he’s always in position for those chances or he’s just not clinical enough. I thought the same about Connor Shields when he moved up a level after a year with us, I think in an ideal world he plays another season at League One before making the next step, after all time is on his side with him still only being 22.

Yeah I agree fully. I worry for us if we don’t bring in more experience throughout the team (particularly at centre half) for the season. As I said though, MB’s recruitment in January was decent so got to hope he can do the same again, regardless if we have doubts over it currently…

Not too difficult is it. Not questioning MB as a coach but his recruitment this summer seems questionable, his good recruitment in January though makes me feel slightly better about it

Aye I was meaning in general not literally, I remember him coming off the bench once or twice to see the games out towards the end of the season.

He never kicked a ball since Bartley came in but he was a bit of a car crash under Gibson. Should also add he wasn’t the only one so it’s a bit unfair singling him out.

Think he’d have a few clubs higher up than us for options unfortunately…

If we are playing a midfield 3 I’d still expect another player of similar quality to come in. But if it’s like last season playing a 3-5-2 I wouldn’t be optimistic for it.

I don’t think it’s being negative to want another midfielder in to compete with what we have. Always thought there were spells last season when Todd wasn’t playing well but we had no one else really to play instead of him (since the manager clearly didn’t fancy McGrory), if we want to get promoted this season we need better competition for places throughout the team.

Hopefully Todd can be more of a squad player this year rather than starting every game. Also feel slightly underwhelmed going off Clyde fans reactions to the signing of Doherty. Going by one of the tweets look as though there could be another in the door today hopefully.
