What does WG do tonight. We were shocking defensively on Saturday but suppose he does not have many options. Paton has to start over Ruth and imagine he will continue with Cochrane because of his goal. We need to be more aggressive all over the park as Kelty have some good players. Low and Barjonas are good in midfield they have pace and goals upfront. If we don't play wee they will give us problems.

If Wullie can’t play, I’d play the back 3 like we have and have McKechnie in Wullie’s RWB role. Team I’d pick - Fox, D. McKay, East, McKenna, McKechnie, Hendrie, Wilson, Todd, Connelly (if fit), Reilly and Paton

  2. How do you rate your teams start out of 10?

    3/10

How safe is your manager’s job?

Safe because he is also our best player, I think he’ll get the whole season in charge.

    Best performance?

    FC Edinburgh at home

    Worst performance?

Dunfermline at home as a 90 minutes, but worst 45 mins was Airdrie at Palmerston

    Best player?

Ian Wilson and Euan East - would be our manager if he picked himself every week.

Which opposition side/player has impressed you?

Airdrie for the way they try to play football. I think they have the best starting 11 in the league when everyone is fit but are miles off it in terms of squad depth. Gallagher of Airdrie seems a good finisher at this level. Benedictus of Dunfermline also must surely be the best centre half in the league.

    Where will your team finish?

3rd or 4th, still a long way to go.

How does Mckenna lose his man from this position ? That is embarrassing, can’t quite remember but sure it was him arsing about in the lead up to giving the corner away for Airdries second goal.

I thought this goal was Paton’s fault at the time. I was really disappointed with his attitude when he came on, he didn’t make enough of an effort to track his man here and attempt to stop the cross, but how easy it is to find an Airdrie body in the box is a shambles

He scored a cracking goal, but that apart don’t kid yourself on, he had a shocker. Was lucky not to get sent off before getting taken off.

Couldn’t agree less with the comments about Wilson as well. No coincidence since he’s came back into the team, we haven’t lost a game.

I think Wilson has been our best player this season, all I was pointing out was that he had a shocker in the first half, he improved a lot in the second.

Tbf he's been mince before that, losing possession, misplacing passes, getting outpaced with a head start, cracking goal though.

He’s showing for the ball the whole time, and effectively doing the work of two because Wilson has been miles off it, I’ve seen ships turn quicker than he does today

Entered after 3 to avoid it. Rebel.

Best we've played in ages. Tempo has been excellent and it makes all the difference. Edinburgh haven't remotely troubled Fox yet and hopefully that continues. They'll have to change it up now which can go one of two ways: our defence will crumble or we'll exploit the spaces they leave.

Give Wilson player of the season already. So much better when he features.

Yep I would have done the same.

Back to three at the back I think

If it is and we are beaten again (because we've looked particularly shit with a back 3) then he gets all the criticism he deserves I'm afraid. It's already bordering on Einstein's theory of insanity.

Did we not go to a back three against Dunfermline second half and looked a bit better? But yeah the constant chopping and changing of formation surely isn’t going to bode well, as well as leaving our best player Connelly on the bench.

Wilson starting thankfully. Gibson persisting with McKenna over himself sadly. The boy has a cracking delivery but defensively poor. Fox starts. Be surprised to see him dropped tbh.

Connolly benched and 5 defenders. Unreal. Unless East is up front?

Back to three at the back I think

He kept you up initially when you looked destined for League 1. He should have been replaced after that, but that was the gamble your club took.

2017-18 we should have put more of a fight in to winning that league, never mind the play-offs. We had a right good team, and 4th was a serious underachievement. I blame AJ for that. Guy was hopeless.

The “new manager bounce” I’m sure we would have achieved under any new manager. The guy is an absolute moron never mind his abilities as a manager, he had a good run of 12 games under us largely due to Issiah Jones and got rewarded with a new 2 year deal despite being utter pish for all the other games of his tenure. Never even minding his constant negativity and moaning about budgets etc. The guy has underachieved wherever he’s been and still clings on to our League One winning season where we walked the league against part timers (and rightly so with the team we had).

Well look at the model of the likes of Morton. Supporters running the club in a fans takeover...

Morton who have less season ticket holders than us and don’t have two penny’s to rub together? Yes the board made the right appointment with Imrie, but I wouldn’t use morton as an example of a successful ownership

As someone mentioned earlier, there's surely some interested parties if/when Hewitson and his cohorts sail away down Solway Firth.

If you can name one interested party who actually wants to take the club on then fair enough. If there was anyone it would have happened already after the relegation, it’s not exactly the most lucrative area of business owning a local football team at the minute. The board have already expressed they would be willing to step aside if someone is willing to take over, but yet here we are..
