Now that Clyde team were decent, but interesting the crowd is not much more than we are attracting at Hamilton with a simply woeful set of players throughout 2023. Perhaps food for thought for those who think that simply moving back to Glasgow 44 years later will bring a noticeable uptick.
That's been obvious for years, imho

The walls are closing in and the board have been caught sleeping at the wheel. The likelihood is we will play against east Kilbride in a playoff and does anybody fancy our chances against them. If by some miracle of chance we get ourselves out of this mess then what happens next as it will be the same people in charge and history will repeat itself.
"The walls are closing in and the board have been caught sleeping at the wheel...." creating mixed metaphors like that, you will truly walk tall from Pie & Bovril's top drawer of fame. Congratulations

My first memory is Bomber Brown playing Pat Clarke (arguably the best striker in the Championship at the time) at left wing back!!
That was the beginning of the end for us under his tenure.
You mean Bummer Brown, I assume?

So it's a 10 to 15 year commitment, quite a long period. Is the money coming in bulk? What if the benefactor sadly passes away?
It seems a very timely announcement from the Board with current rumours of a takeover bid about to be launched.
It can't be huge sums of money they are talking about, as in Scottish football jumping 2 leagues isn't that difficult with money behind you..... certainly not a 10-15 year journey.
Let's not fall for this, it's possibly designed to buy the Crown Point project time and put serious doubt in the owner's minds if an alternative to this board were to be proposed to them.
Takeover bid rumours ?.... game-changing mega investment? This sounds like fantasy land. What's the story on the takeover bid (rumoured)?

This whole thing is totally depressing. Now we've got this Slippery creature throwing up all over the place.

Is Monsower Banso going to be back for the second leg?

What a collapse. Thought we were well in it until about 50mins. Lucky to keep it go three now

Did anyone go the Crownpoint open night yesterday? Anybody care to share their thoughts on the location, potential and any proposals put forward? I couldn't attend last night but I'm interested and concerned

Some good posts here cheers, anyone know the answer to this?
Are the Clyde board
A) a bunch of dinosaurs who have a bit of doh and are clinging on to the power of an association club purely for some sort of unfathomable kudos?
B) just punters like us, doing all the background work involved in running the club and just not making a very good job of it?
C) something other than they 2 options?
I genuinely have no idea but it feels to me like A and if that is the case it is an extremely difficult situation to come back from.
I get that some folk just like a moan and the fact that their club is in an awful state is providing plenty to moan at but I just dont think it helps the situation and would rather hear possible scenarios or ideas that could actually make some sort of difference so thought I'd ask
They are B) imho. Punters like us who are life long supporters, love the club and are doing the best job they can. In fact unlike us because they are doing it and we are not.

According to comments on the Bairns' thread, Wilson is absolutely honkin bad. We can only hope Duffy knows that, now if not before

Amid talk of a move to East Kilbride in the mid 1960s, a Clyde director was quoted in the Evening Times saying "It's slow death for us at Shawfield".

I've just read the applications on the Glasgow CC website from ourselves and Finnart. Going by what I have read, if we fail to lad this, I dread to think ....

Is that an old junior ground top right beside the athletics track? Parkhead, Strathclyde, somebody like that?

I hear that later this morning Clyde will sign a deal to share Cliftonhill from next season onwards. It's a 5 year deal and will involve extra terracing being brought back into use at our beloved stadium.
Oh mercy!

Howie was terrifying every time he touched the ball. Surely Sula or Dunachie is better than that. Whatever McColl sees in Rennie is still a total mystery and much the same could be said of Ballantyne. But now we know why McGinn isn't a starter but does well as a late sub. Even Ross Lyon looks better, if only he could understand the other guys in red shirts are on his team.
I have the fear
