Not helped by xenophobic national anthem that is essentially about a defeat. Self fulfilling prophecy. Time to sing about something else, unique and that has no mention of England for starters. Makes me cringe tbh

This is such a strange opinion. Don't think the anthem made Porteous get sent off stupidly or us basically leave their midfield alone.Β

  2. Genuinely think Clarke's time is up if we don't beat either Switzerland or Hungary. We've been absolutely disgraceful at both international tournaments we've qualified for under him. Fair play he got us there but we definitely should be qualifying regardless looking at our squad.Β

I'd argue sharing a city with the the two arsecheeks is actually a disadvantage, to be honest. Population means nothing when, like the rest of Scotland, you have generations of folk whose football clubs are determined by success and bigotry, except here it's also combined with ease of access.

Offset by a very easy to access stadium with a massive local population, bolstered by students looking for football without weird bigotry literally right next to the ground. Also, most people in Glasgow don't own a car, so need to stay relatively local. Partick have a big local base in the west end.Β

Accies suffer most - too close to Glasgow to escape the pull, too far from it to attract massive local crowds, bad public transport not helping.Β

  4. Genuinely don't think I can afford the football alongside everything else right now. Mental. Especially since I don't live in Hamilton so have to spend about Β£5 minimum to travel to home games anyway.Β

It genuinely is cheaper to go and watch Celtic in some cases, especially if you're a student (and we of course haven't got round to offering student rates despite having UWS in the town). Can you really blame half the town, and most of Bothwell, Blantyre etc for looking towards Glasgow rather than us at this point?Β

Yet we retain and keep players like Winters who have contributed nothing.

    Who says we're keeping Winter?Β

Speaking of which, here's who I'd be looking to get rid of:

    - All of the loan players except Rose

    - Fulton and Lewis Smith are sadly away anyway

    - Jamie Smith, Kalala and Redfern out on loan

    - Then let go of Hendrie, McGinn, Connor Murray, Hewitt and Winter

I'd keep McGinn, Murray, Jamie Smith at the club for depth. Kalala, Newbury, Ben Black loans. Hendrie 50/50, depends what money he's on. Winter, Hewitt Redfern away for sure.Β

Hamilton being credited with an interest in taking Connor Smith on an initial loan deal.

The ideal would be getting him off the wage bill completely but not having the option to play him would be a close second.

Has he really been that bad? We'd happily take him after he almost saved our worst squad this century from relegation.Β
