  1. If Dundee make top 6 each team will have to play another team 3 times either home/away. Rangers, Hearts and Killie will all be due 2 more home games to make 19/19 but all are due 3 of the others at home a 2nd time. With Killie being the only team of those 3 due another home game against Celtic that one will be switched to an away game, leaving Rangers and Hearts to have to travel to St. Mirren/Dundee for a 3rd time. Rangers at Dundee a 3rd time and Hearts at St. Mirren a 3rd time if I had to guess

Replays from the 4th round onwards were scrapped last season and I haven't seen anything saying they've brought them back so we'll play to a finish.

Been scrapped for a few years now in all rounds, can’t remember the last time there were replays in the Scottish Cup from 4th round onwards. Maybe like 2018/19?

  3. Very impressed with our first half of the season. A few last minute goals conceded/dodgy decisions have done us out of a few extra points, but by the same margin there’s a few games where we’ve been a little fortunate ourselves with opposition missing big chances late on and the Watson last minute winner against Aberdeen when neither team really deserved to win that game. Hoping for similar consistency in the latter parts of the season which should see us finish in a European place, which I would be delighted with (as long as we don’t draw Connahs Quay in the qualifiers 🤮)

As for the rest of the division I reckon it’ll end up something like this

1st - Celtic (Will come down to the last old firm game and they’ll win by the odd goal)

2nd - Rangers (Will lead the table on the 6th of April after beating Celtic at Ibrox but lose that lead weeks later after drawing with Hearts at Tynecastle)

3rd - Hearts (Will manage to hold onto Shankland with him ending as top scorer in the league. Will finish a comfortable 9/10 points above 4th)

4th - Killie (May be a little biased but I reckon we’ll be consistent enough to sneak 4th ahead of Hibs, St. Mirren and Aberdeen)

5th - Hibs (Will struggle following the return from the winter break but win 4 of their last 5 pre split and pick up enough points post split to pip St. Mirren to 5th)

6th - St. Mirren (Also have a difficult few games following the winter break but they’ll have a great run of results in February which will be enough to keep them in 6th ahead of Aberdeen)

7th - Aberdeen (Will go on a dreadful run following the winter break leading to Robson getting sacked after a loss to Killie on the 24th of February. New manager will lead them to 4 victories in their last 6 pre split but it won’t be enough)

8th - Dundee (Will be one of few teams to have a decent return following the winter break which will have them in 6th ahead of Hibs in mid February, however a run of 4 defeats in a row will follow and they’ll eventually slip to 8th)

9th - St. Johnstone (Back-to-back victories against close competitors Motherwell and County will have them in a good position following the winter break. Will pick up enough points in the rest of the season to finish above those 2 and Livi)

10th - Ross County (Uncle Roy will open the chequebook this month and pull off 1/2 good bits of business which will be enough to see them narrowly avoid the playoff. Adams will have another meltdown at some point which will be very amusing)

11th(R)- Motherwell (Sorry Well fans but it’s your time. 4 points from the last 2 games has papered over some cracks but the loss of Bierith to another injury in February will seal their fate. Louis Moult to score the winner in the playoff final)

12th(R) - Livi (Will go on a small run of form between late February/early March which will give them hope but 5 losses in a row pre split alongside a measly 2 points post split will be enough to send them down. Won’t even reach 25 points

Games in hand make this all a bit funky, but Livingston really do look doomed. Probably need at least 20pts from their next 17 games to stand a chance

I’d say closer to 24/25 points to stand a chance, around 1.5ppg, something only the top 3 teams in the league have managed thus far. So aye, they’re doomed

I'm excited for this one - I was gutted not to be able to make Motherwell away, but you can't make every game (unless you're Keith McAllister of Queen's Park fame). Hoping for a few goals from this mythical striker that we haven't signed yet despite it being deadline day tomorrow!

    Deadline day is Friday

I can only assume the offside against Robinson at the end was much closer than it appeared live, because it seemed to take a solid couple of minutes for play to be restarted.

Closer than var want us to believe as well. The blue line in this image is apparently where your players trailing leg is, even though it is clearly visible a yard or two back, practically in line with the red line

Well it’s strongly rumoured Gaston is away to coach rangers full time, and he’s the only first team regular not signed. Antell also cannot be trusted whatsoever so it’s hardly ridiculous to suggest we will be signing 2 keepers

I wasn’t claiming it to be ridiculous. My point is that you said there were no rumours and proceeded to say you needed 2 keepers “if rumours were to be believed”

The following players are under contract for next season:

    Euan Murray
    Dan Armstrong
    Blair Alston
    Scott Robinson
    Jack Sanders
    Chris Stokes
    Brad Lyons
    Liam Polworth
    Sam Walker
    Dylan McGowan
    Oli Shaw
    Ash Taylor
    Innes Cameron

However, out of all of these, Taylor and Shaw are the only two I'd definitely want to stay. Robinson and Alston will presumably stick around too, and Walker will be fine as a back-up keeper, but I'd expect us to be trying to offload some of the others to other clubs in the Championship or down south.

The following are out of contract:

    Stephen McGinn
    Jason Naismith
    Lee Hodson
    Kyle Lafferty
    Rory McKenzie
    Chris Burke
    Brandon Haunstrup
    Calum Waters

Of these, obviously we'd want to keep Lafferty and McKenzie and Burke should get another year if he wants one.

I'd be happy enough to give Stephen McGinn another year as an experienced squad player, but he might fancy regular football in the Championship again. The rest can f**k off immediately.

Of the guys on loan, Hemming is the only one we should be trying to keep, but I doubt it's what Middlesbrough will have in mind for him.

Fraser Murray still has a year left too doesn’t he? Not included in either of your lists from what I can see. Also re. McGinn I think he’ll be part of the squad next season, heard him say post match against Arbroath that he’s desperate for 1 more year in the prem before he hangs his boots up and now he’s got that.
