  1. The rotation this year hasn't helped either Keeper IMO and likely played on both of their minds at times.

Neither have been horrendous, which most of our fans would have you believe.  Capable of mistakes here and there but so are all of our outfield players who tend to get away mistakes, even major ones.  Our fans are also particularly brutal to keepers and give seriously bad vibes from the stands which won't help a young keeper.

Nicky was well thought of at Rangers (where young keepers basically never get a sustained opportunity) and must have been on some big clubs radars to have signed at Forest.

Clearly a lot of potential and we likely have the right environment to nurture that so hopefully goes on to prove himself.  I am sure he will.

Sorry,, but I think McGlynn comes across poorly here with these comments. The pitch was a disgrace, but it was the same for both teams - we lost, league is the focus, move on. Dragging it on nearly a week later with sour grapes is bad form.

    F*ck them..... he is right.

Found that too, guy next to us stated that we'd be better with Connor Sammon over McIver, who was 'shit all game'.

some of our fans are absolute odd balls

I must have been sitting close to you as I couldn't believe what I was hearing, total clown.

Sat in the middle of KMc as was in a little later than normal but f**k me it was grim.

Also got into a bit of a 'debate' about the booing at the end too.  I get it, we have been shite for years but the players have given everything so far this season and I just cant acknowledge much' justification booing of the team at the end.   Apparently we should win every game and we didn't try.  Geez peace man!

Yes and no. MacIver is at his best arriving late into the box. A midfielder or two going past him to occupy the centre backs last Saturday would have made a big difference imho. MacIver played into Ambrose’s hands by ending up standing next to him rather than arriving late to get onto the end of the cross balls.

So when we have the ball on the flanks, MacIver doesn’t have to be “leading the line” at that point. Him holding back and arriving a little later might be a major plus for us.

He can do that in the current system, that's entirely a point of personal improvement rather than an issue with the system.

  5. Shouts for McIver in behind Allan are wild, not for me and we won't see 2 out and out strikers up top.

Even if the fans want McGlynn to change the system, he won't.  We have plenty options at 10 and Ross, Lawal and Nesbitt can all cover on the left.

I don't think the performance was that poor last week, Queens just sat in and defended the box really well.

We do need to be able to change things up a bit in those situations but more through not repeating the same patterns of play and trying something a little different on occasion.

On the back of the Rawlins chat, if Rawlins has ‘exited’ the Club, why are they still holding on to the shares and not released or transferred them? If they’re no longer part or interested in Falkirk Football Club then their shares can be put to much better use. Funding another loan for instance?

The shares still hold value, they ain't likely to just give it all away for free even if they have no intention of investing further.

They will just wait it out and if another investor ever comes along they will hope to get their money back.

From the club. Was on FD podcast, money for one or potentially two loan signings. An extra 24k was raised selling unsold shares, they said this was announced at the FSS meeting on Friday. Presumably that’s what’s funding it.

Mustn't have been paying close enough attention as I didn't take from it that this money wasn't already accounted for (was working whilst listening tbf).

Has there been any chatter about a potential new player or players coming in on loan now that McGlynns had a bit of cash made available to him? Hoped he’d maybe have had sombody lined up to cover for Millers injury but it all seems a bit quite so far.

Where has it been confirmed McGlynn has funds over and above the Bisland deal to bring someone else in?

Worth pointing out that this is in action and has been for some time down in England and Wales although only concerning football while the above incorporates all sporting events, also that it's basically a suggestion from the UK Traffic Commissioner given travel is a devolved power, SNP could and should just turn it down immediately.

    I'll just repeat what I've said in another thread on it;

Can see this proposal being lumped straight into the shredder. Logistically I just don't see how it can work.

Take Tayside for instance; St Johnstone, Dundee, Dundee United, Arbroath, Montrose, Brechin and Forfar.

You cannot tell me for a second that they will have the manpower to receive handovers from various other police divisions and check that busses are both stopped at their pre-agreed place at the pre-agreed time while also checking that all supporters on those busses are consuming a substantial meal. All while handing over information of the outgoing teams.

There's a possibility that you have say Celtic, Dunfermline, Falkirk and Spartans all coming into the area on any given Saturday with clubs one or two of the clubs leaving the region. How many busses is that to keep track of? In and around mid teens I would imagine and we all know it won't be one police car per bus..

Exactly my thoughts.  How can the police claim to even remotely have the time and capacity for this and think that its a sensible use of either.

So many better things that time/resource should be spent on.

  11. Nesbitt would 100% come in for Miller (if required) and play at 10.  My biggest concern would be he would put Morrison back on the left to get Agyeman back on the right which I don't think is as effective.

Morrison can play on the left, likely better than Agyeman, but overall its not as threatening.

I still don't think Lawal is a starter, Edinburgh likely would be his best shout to prove something but I believe McGlynn doesn't think he has the engine to start matches.

  12. Protect McIver at all costs, he will likely need to start almost every game if we have a chance of winning the league.

If that means at 3-0 up Allan gets thrown on in a position that might not suit him then so be it.   I don't sign-up to the fact we should keep him on the pitch just so it suits Allan when he comes on.

McGlynn isn't going to drastically change his style now, we need to accept it.

  13. If we don't win the league this season I can pretty much guarantee it won't be due to us not scoring enough goals (out with the obvious caveat that brings), it will be due to us not being able to keep enough clean sheets.

Can we drop the 1 up top complaints for the love of all that is f**k, it can work fine.

Oliver won't be starting tonight, think it will be the same lineup as Cove however McGlynn might fancy starting Nesbitt which will mean Morrison back on the left and Agyeman back on the right.

Personally I would go same as Cove and leave Agyeman in the 10 behind McIver for the physicality.
