Anyone know why there was no sign of Alex King yesterday? Injury I assume but no mention in the match preview. Not that I’m his biggest fan but the conditions yesterday may have suited him as he’s not afraid to shoot. 🤷🏼‍♂️

It beggars belief that the club are starring the unthinkable in the face and you are asking about a diddy player who has done little to nothing to help with our current plight.

  2. Let’s get real for a brief moment. Mc call has came In and given us hope and to be fair clawed back an impossible position. Maitland with his proven track record rallies the troops and we all start believing it’s possible and some idiot on this chat talks about finishing mid table. We are going into a playoff as Stranraer have more bottle than us and if the unthinkable happens we are taking players who were give 2 year contracts into the lowland league with us. None of these big time Charlie players we have will want to play in that league and they will start negotiating payoffs.mc call will be the first of the titanic. We will then be in the same boat as Cowdenbeath Albion rovers east Stirling Berwick rangers who all found themselves in a league that without a huge budget you just can’t escape. It has been widely reported that East Kilbrides budget is north of £500k and now they have won the lowland league they play the winners of the highland league and then potentially play us. If when end up in the lowland league it will be trips to small stadiums with little to no fans and no home to call our own. all we have is a badge and some stories of how good we once were. It’s all pretty sad to be honest but we only have ourselves to blame.

Problem, unless the CIC scrapped the directors are protected by the rules....vote in and vote out when their 3 year term up. Unless some of them suddenly develop a conscience at quite how awful they have been.

Re JC -  most of the fan base on here were willing to listen to the deluded Chairman telling us there was no panic, our aim is to achieve promotion to League 1 and we have a robust proposition and are very confident re Crown Point and have generally been swallowing the narrative for years whilst some who have been predicting this situation for years have been labelled by the Club as "malcontents" and in some cases even been banned from ownership.

JC has a confrontational delivery that's for sure, but he's not too far off the mark with 4 games to go with only a slightly better goals scored tally separating us from Stranraer on equal points.....he's not stupidly wrong with his predictions. I doubt as a Clyde supporter he's willing us to lose just to prove his point -he's as disgusted with the situation as I am and I feel sure he would not wish for us to start next season in the LL. However, it will be very interesting to see what structure changes AM is able to make for the next season.

From what I hear and see, AM is Chairman now in all but name, whether it is made official shortly who knows.....but wholesale changes to the Board are required if this club is to progress, (having survived the drop hopefully) and I hope the anchors which have held back previous ambitious Chairmen are somehow removed at season end.

This has been my motivation since i started on this chat and that was to wake everyone up and force change. Its a pity some clowns on this chat cant understand how close we came to the abyss and its not over yet. apologies about the idiot that had a go at you and its best not to acknowledge my posts for your own sake but i appreciate you did.

So you are recognising there is now a chance we won't be relegated. There always was of course but you were adamant we were 100% going to get relegated - long after McCall had arrived and basically signed a new squad I might add.

Wouldn't mind so much if it wasn't for the fact you jumped down the throat of everyone and anyone who dared to entertain the chance, albeit extremely remote, of us escaping relegation. I think you owe us all an apology.

I'm sorry and you know i genuinely mean it.

I’ve doubted McCall since he came in after some of his baffling team selections. However at the end of the day if he keeps us up he has done his job very, very well.

Give credit where credit is due we were terminal before mc call stepped into this shitshow and if it is the great escape he should be voted manager of the year but he’s not out the woods yet.

Have we heard anything from our own Jimmy Choo in the last few weeks???

Sorry old friend I've missed you to. I have been lost for words since we started winning. I'm looking forward to all the fresh abuse i will endure now i have replied to you.

I appreciate that this resignation is official, but where was it announced? No sign of it on the club website? All very strange, but no surprise there.

Smoke and mirrors but if the club avoid relegation he will probably stay on as chairman. if we get relegated he resigns like a rat of a sinking ship but  if we survive he stays on to continue his reign of terror.  We are feked either way.

That was sort of my point. (It's about all that most of us have got...)

With no disrespect to those that have already exited the SPFL - East Strilingshire, Berwick Rangers, Brechin City, Cowdenbeath and Albion Rovers - they were looked upon - rightly or wrongly -  as very diddy clubs who were perennially struggling - again rightly or wrongly (wrongly in at least 2 cases) - and meant nothing to the League historically and wouldn't be missed. (I'm not saying I advocate that stance.)

Clyde, Dumbarton and East Fife have a bit more history about them and all feature on the winners board of top Scottish honours.

It all counts for nothing when you have Gordon Thomson as chairman overseeing our demise and relegation.

Even if we stay up - what’s left?

No ground, no fans, no money, no assets, everyone hates us - both commercially and club wise - how the f**k do we survive?

Thank god someone has woke up. The club has been mismanaged for years and this is the result. We will go bust in 2 years and we will get relegated to the lowland league.

In some instances football is unpredictable but, where least expected, it is mega predictable.

Stranraer were never going to lose to Dumbarton the other night; nor were Bonnyrigg going to lose their match (no matter how late they got their equalizer). There's no scientific evidence, it's just the natural order of things.

Other than the outside chance East Fife will catch Dumbarton to make the play offs there is nothing at stake for any of the top half clubs.  So when nothing-at-stake meets everything-at-stake you don't need a PHD to work out where the points are going.

In other words, Clyde need not only to win far more points than their league position suggests they are capable of but are also reliant on the other bottom half sides playing each other rather than the under-motivated top half sides.

Only a strong finish gives us any chance of avoiding the playoffs and I still fear the draw v Peterhead might be our nemesis.

Professor obvious here. All the bottom sides have strengthened their squads and the teams with nothing to play for have nothing at stake. Clyde will get relegated and of that i have no doubt.

Next stop the lowland league minus Gordon Thomson thank fek. To be fair the club have came out fighting but as sad as it is its to late.

We are going to stay up and win the league. Gordon Thomson gets voted chairman of the year and the ozone starts to repair itself and Scotland win the world cup. Can someone give me a like please please please or will i just continue to talk shite and tell the truth.

We were 4 points behind at the end of January and now find ourselves 5 points behind despite winning 3 out of the last 4 games. We will probably need to pick up around 12-15 points from the last quarter which seems a tall order.

As much as Elgin are second bottom just now would think Bonnyrigg are the ones to catch too. Elgin are at home against Bonnyrigg on Saturday so something has to give there.

Our next 3 games should decided it Forfar, Bonnyrigg then Stranraer. We definitely need to win the last two.

Next stop the lowland league minus Gordon Thomson thank fek. To be fair the club have came out fighting but as sad as it is its to late.

Yes, it's more than a bit weird. I used to think he was masquerading as a Clyde fan for his own amusement but his obsession with GT has got me thinking he's actively involved. I wonder if he is a current or former board member with one eye on the Chairman's post.

Or I could be calling it how it is. Let’s keep GT and watch the team get relegated to the junior league. I was on the board and witnessed this idiot first hand,

I'm all for a major restructuring of the club but it's too late in the season to do that right now. We need to see out this season with what we have as to change it up at this point would most likely just lead to even more instability and infighting.

I disagree although you do have a point but if a change was made it would give the full club a lift and that could make all the difference. We are getting no points on Saturday and the clubs above us will move further away. Gordon Thomson needs to be removed now for us to have any chance of getting out of the shit.

Hear, hear. I would be pretty much resigned to the fate of the Lowland League were it not for the potential safety net of the relegation playoff.

It is a significant factor in all of this and yet one which most seem to be writing off as a foregone conclusion. There are plenty of games between now and that potential playoff for McCall and the squad to find a system and starting 11 which works so I think it's important we get behind the team as much as possible for the run in.

I don't know if the players are on a win bonus but if not, get that sorted pronto! As others have said, we cannot expect the players to care too much about the club or its history so any incentive for them to really bust a gut should be used. Can we use the Mystery Benefactor's millions to offer them an extra cash incentive to avoid last place?

As I said before, I'm close to staying away myself but while there is a chance of avoiding last place I'm going to drag myself along. All I ask for is that the players give maximum effort, the strongest 11 are fielded and, most importantly, played in their correct positions. If we can refrain from hoofball that would also be much appreciated, particularly with the return of Jordan Allan.

I do understand why many may already have decided not to bother anymore this season but would urge all Clyde fans who are able to continue to attend while there's a chance of avoiding last place and give the team your backing. What is a football club without the fans?

I really feel it for you but while the same structure is in place things will continue to get worse. The next thing that happens is the club will languish in mid table of the lowland league at best. I admire your positive attitude but it’s too late for that. The club have let the fans down and the person who has caused all this is Gordon Thomson.
