  1. My good lady managed to secure me the new top online. I had considered going and queuing after my Nightshift. However I decided against that being somewhat gubbed this morning.

Really chuffed to get it. Hopefully it arrives in time. It will be worn once and then framed for my man cave!

The wife took great pleasure in informing me that I have blown a fortune on tops this season.

Training top, Zip warm up top, away top and The Blazer homes white top for the laddie.

    Away top for my lassie

Heritage top and now Champions top for me!

Seems perfectly reasonable to me! Got to be said tho O'Neills gear has been different class this season. Really impressed with all of it! Good to see the club gaining out this new deal! Bring on Saturday!

  2. Apologies if someone has already mentioned it. However I thought Dylan Taits goal through at Alloa was a thing of beauty. Pretty surprised it didn't make the cut.

But for sheer skill and I was right in line with it Ethan Ross volley was incredibly good technique. We have scored some absolute worlds this season though.

  3. Was a pretty turgid affair yesterday, conditions certainly played a part in that.

Thought we might cancel each other out and that happened. However I really was not impressed with Hamilton.

If that is going to be our main challengers this season then bring it on.

I see a few people saying they can't see them dropping many points over the season.

I would disagree with that. Yes they seem pretty solid but are seriously lacking up front.

O'Hara will never make double figures and I thought Henderson was totally dominated by our defence.

We do have more attacking options and seem to be pretty solid at the back. Lang is an absolute beast.

We keep our main men fit and I think we are favourites to go up.

  4. As an FSS member and ordinary punter I find this all very dodgy. Any money from contributions should be withheld until this has been resolved.

Was never very comfortable with this whole scenario once we got the government loan. I contributed to attain shares. To be stopped short off what we need is quite frankly scandalous.

Pretty miffed by this whole thing. If it is not sorted out soon I will be leaving the FSS.

I don’t know the story behind them leaving but Lewis is not going to Queen’s Park. He’s bought a season book for next year.

The stadium announcer went to QP a few years ago maybe confused with that?

He was adamant but I said about Davy Mac and he said he heard from a reliable source. I find it very hard to believe to be fair

  6. Forgive me if this has already been covered only dip in here now and again. Was speaking to a fellow Bairn at work and mentioned I was surprised that Lewis and the other fella from Falkirk TV, Stuart I think. Were leaving.

He was saying he had heard they are going to do it for Queens Park now. Found that very hard to believe Lewis seems to be a bit of a die hard. Anybody else know what the score is? I personally thought they did an excellent job and will be a big miss.

  7. As an FSS member this looks an absolutely amazing deal and I am delighted.

However as a taxpayer watching the council slash services around the Falkirk district. Particularly sports related venues with swimming pools and the grangemouth stadium etc. Seems a bit strange the government can dish out £350k loans interest free.

Don't get me wrong I will take it but can see a lot of people being pissed off at this. Non Falkirk supporters obviously.

  8. Was asking my cousin who is an Alloa die hard about the young striker we signed.

He said he is unbelievable in the air, best header of a ball he has ever seen. Ideal to have a poacher playing off him. Allan would fit that bill but will McGlynn change his style?

He also said absolutely no chance he gets you 15-20 goals a season, time will tell.

  9. Have got to say I have lost all faith in McGlynn after the Airdrie shambles. However he is here to stay so just need to suck it up I suppose.

He really cannot afford have a poor start or he will be under serious pressure. Recruitment will be very interesting. Running with a leaner squad. Hopefully focusing more on quality than jersey fillers.

Time will tell I suppose we really could be doing with a marquee signing to get the fans excited. Arfield would fit the bill but really cannae see it happening.

Just watched the highlights.  Some thoughts:

    - Airdries goal prob isn’t offside- it’s a well timed run (and very well executed lob), and looks like he just about managed to stay level when it was flicked on

    - it did however look like a clear penalty for handball.  If nothing else, the slightly embarrassed reaction of the Airdrie player gives it away!

    - Donaldson looks to have been involved at a few of the attacking moves.  I definitely think distribution and passing into space is one of his strengths

    - I don’t understand why we’re playing Wright ahead of Burrell.  I’m certain we’d have scored two more if Burrell had been on the park.  The move where Morrison takes on several defenders was great, but at no point can he pass to Wright cos the daft p***k was running offside the entire time.

Looked like a really good game.

We were right in line for Airdries first goal. The lad was at least a yard offside and the linesman was miles behind. So he couldn't give it because he was hopeless.

P*cks? Packs, pucks, picks, pecks picks? Which one is it?

And yes, failure to go up WOULD be an unmitigated disaster. But the joy it would bring to us p*cks....

Don't worry, your so super big that there's enough gormless fans who'll keep bailing the club out. 😘

You lot certainly won't bail your club out. You probably couldn't raise enough to pay the stewards. Looking forward to seeing how many home fans stagger down today. You will be outnumbered significantly that's for sure!

  12. I honestly find Morrison so frustrating. His decision making is woeful, he makes the wrong choice at least 90% of the time. A player with the tools he has should be running riot in this league. I honestly don't think he can be improved, he has zero composure when he does get a chance. He thinks he is a player but ultimately he offers very little. I can see McGlynn getting pissed off with him fairly quickly.

That's what we like, an exclusive. So Finn Yeats was the trialist? 18 year old who's just been released from Aberdeen. Played 10 games for Keith FC in the highland league last season. Looks to have played right back for them a fair few times.

Ye was told it was Yeats. Didn't realise he was only 18. Thought he looked very comfortable on the ball and looked to move it forward. Would be a good addition based on last night.

  14. Great reception for the wee man last night. Must admit had a wee lump in the throat when he came out to local hero.

The game itself I thought we looked far better organised and played at a decent tempo and a few nice passages of play. Considering that was 70% of last seasons dross playing it was much improved.

Mackie and the young boy Yeats were excellent. I think McGlynn might well be able to get a bit more out of what we have, he will need to because doesn't sound like loads more will come in.

Anyway promising, goals we lost were horrendous but that is not our first choice defence. And Killie are huge compared to our midgets. Bug bear for me is looks like we have signed another keeper who won't command his box and take a cross.
