75 mins of turgid pish from us followed by 15 mins of decent football and County gifting us the first goal.

Play like that next week and we're in for a beating.

Didn't notice anyone for County today, which is unusual because I'm used to them being battlers; must be tough times up there

You are right, there is absolutely no fight in this county team. They were second to every ball. They looked like they didn’t want the ball.
There are a few decent players in that hibs team. If they click I could see them going on a decent run.

  2. I like Brophy, Murray and White up top together. It worked well last season before Brophy picked up an injury. If I remember correctly, the first time we played it was at home to Dundee United and we blew them away. Hoping a good run in the side will sharpen Brophy up, as its clear to see how good a finisher he is when he gets himself in the right place.

I think must not lose for Livi, as this would undo the good work against st mirren, and probably the same for County as would give us momentum.

Murray is probably the best striker between the two squads and his inclusion would make me nervous. Hopefully Holt and Carson can cut off the supply.

Could do with Donellan back in but to be fair to Sangare he did well on Saturday although I think St Mirren tended to focus more of their attack down the left which really didn’t expose him.

Really looking forward to the trip and making a day of it on Saturday. What’s the best shout for pre-match bevs? (I might be greetin efter!)

The National or the Mallard are good for a pre game drink. They are both very close to the stadium.

  4. I have to say that in hindsight my rants about Adam’s last week may have just been due to the anger of the lacklustre performance against Partick.  The players didn’t look up for it in any way, and I put that down to him losing the dressing room. Yesterday was a complete 180, excellent team performance and the new players seem to have improved the team. Hopefully that carries forward into the livi game.

  5. He’s like a petulant child. Putting all the blame on the players and taking no responsibility himself.

I posted here previously to say how well we were playing when he first came in. Thinking back he was still deploying Malkys formation then. Since he has tried to implement his own formation and tactics it’s fallen to pieces.

The players don’t seem interested, and that will be down to to his previous comments which will have sucked the morale out of the squad. Will be delighted if he leaves the club one way or another as soon as possible.

The squad we have just now has not exactly been firing on all cylinders, so if 3 or 4 players leave then I am not particularly bothered.

I agree to an extent, however, the players rumoured to be leaving are not the types of players that I believe are the problem. I think that we have the basis of a good squad, it's just the way that they have been utilised under MacKay. Adams seemed to get a tune out of them in the majority of the games since he returned. I'm (hopefully) putting the Aberdeen game down to a very very bad day at the office.

I'd argue that the most static person in that move is the idiot we're employing between the sticks.

I just watched the goal back there and he seems to watch it from the second it leaves Dhanda's foot and into the net. It wasn't as if there was a great deal of pace in the shot. Was wondering if he was blind sided by it but he sees in in plenty time.

It's nice passing but it's also absolutely terrible from us. Blaney's a lost boy and it leaves Wilkinson (a forward who has never played in midfield until now) as somehow being the last defender to attempt to shut it down.

Fucking hell I hate this team.

I also thought that the Motherwell players were very static for Dhanda's goal. He just danced past a couple of players with no challenge i sight. Still a cracking finish.

There is a saying about one swallow not making a summer. Baldwin had a good game tonight, if he makes that a regular occurrence then all well and good, but that remains to be seen.

Since Adams has come in the whole team seem to be a lot more organised, which takes pressure off the back 3. Most mistakes or rash challenges he has made in recent times have come from us losing the ball softly in midfield. He along with the other centre backs have looked a lot more solid the past three games.

The "but it's supposed to be an all-weather pitch!" brigade will be out in full force once this is called off.

Although it’s an artificial surface it still freezes just like any other surface as does the substrate below it.

Do Livi not have heating under the surface? It may be that it’s incompatible with the artificial surface.

Thats literally the only thing your post could be seen as doing.

You tried to downplay it as just some racist texts then tried to further downplay it by comparing it directly to drug dealers killing people.

We've been through stuff in the past thats suggested to me youre an absolutely dreadful person who'll defend literally anything based entirely on football tribalism, and this is another example im afraid.

He’s hardly hailing Mackay as a saint. I think you are twisting words there. Not in any way condoning the texts that were sent by Mackay, but they were sent in a private group and not intended to cause any harm, it was more an extremely poor attempt at humour. Dealing drugs harms whole communities and ruins lives.

I’m a fan of Martindale and think it’s amazing how he has turned his life around and works with the community. Everyone deserves a second chance.

I have been saying this ad nauseam for the past while, but Mackay didn’t know his best XI and didn’t know his favoured formation. That shouldn’t be the case for a manager who has been in the post for as long as he has.

I wish him well, I hope his redemption continues but it was absolutely time for a change.

Cowie will lead us in the short term I’m sure of it, but knowing him as a I do, I do not consider him a leader amongst men.

I would be happy with Cowie remaining on the coaching staff, however I do not believe that he is the answer to our problems. saying that I’ve got no suggestions meantime on who would be available and a suitable candidate.

  13. He  dined out far too long  on the good form of RCC and Hungbo for 6 months and a complete collapse by Partick last season. Other than that we have been awful and we are very lucky not to be playing down in the Championship.

I know the Scottish Football media mafia will criticise us for the sacking, but those fuckers don't have to sit and watch the nonsense play out in front of them every week. 9 games without a win puts any manager in danger of the sacking.
