  1. I feel like there's a difference between the older stewards who have been around since I was a kid, and the newer mic wearing rocksteady arsehole brigade.
  2. Are you sure? I'm sure I remember at least one other goal? Edited...apparently not. I could have sworn he had scored more!
  3. Can Cove afford to go hybrid? Sure, it looks like a lot has been done behind the scenes, but do you have the fanbase to cover full time costs?
  4. I think he does a good job in that defensive midfield role, much like Hamilton last season. However, after a strong start, he's clearly been affected by injury. He's been subbed off early in a couple games, missed others, and doesnt look fully fit.
  5. Every single Inverness game is an exercise in grim misery. So, same again.
  6. He gave us an out ball, and just having him there gave McKenna space to do what he does best.
  7. The Low and McKenna combination has worked fine before. You could play Bitsondou, Low, and McKenna. You could also rotate Allan and Low (I dont see the need to chuck Allan on the scrapheap). Balde I havent seen enough of yet, just a low quality pixellot stream, but he looks the part. Tait on the other hand, I'm not sure about. Its 2023. Its not about having 11 players and 3 subs. We need a squad! Not everyone has to play every week.
  8. If Low's circumstances have changed and he wanted to play for us again, I'd happily welcome him back. Cracking player, and I think he'd be brilliant alongside Bitsondou.
  9. Big slice for me too. We're gonna need a bigger pie.
  10. You can see that we still have issues with confidence and self belief, but that will help!
  11. A proper formation, with a big striker and McKenna behind him, and it looks like playing all our new signings surprised Dundee. Looks like we caught them out there. Balde looks like he's being out muscled in midfield, but its his first game and he's a new signing, so I won't judge him on that. Adarkwa looks like he's giving us a presence and out ball up front, and El Mhanni looks pretty decent. Pleasantly surprised so far, but a bit concerned that we did so much sitting back and timewasting towards the end of the half. Perhaps the team lacking a bit of belief after a tough season?
  12. I was absolutely sure we would be keeping Fosu, its almost like I know nothing about football. Strange though, he played plenty of football for us, and once again, we don't have a full bench. Thought he would have been handy cover.
  13. So to summarise what our fans want....every single summer signing except Oakley paid off and released, and then an entire squad of 10+ players signed and integrated at the start of January. Oh, and no punts, wildcards, signings from outside Scotland, or unproven kids. They all have to be proven Scottish based players who can cut it in the championship, and fit in with the manager's style. Oh, and two goalscoring strikers who fit all the above criteria. Happy new year everyone!
  14. So...basically, the exact same thing we did in the summer?
  15. I don't understand why people expect Fosu out. He's been our best summer signing, and can do a job all over the pitch. Dick clearly trusts him, and he has been fine. Plus this idea of mass outgoings is folly. We can barely fill our bench as it is, and I can't see us paying off everyone's contracts.
  16. Fosu? Allan? Also, why would we get rid of Hoti when we only just signed him? Likewise, I would be very surprised if we released Jacobs. Edited to add, is the problem that Bitsondou has lost form? Or is it more that he's not fully fit and despite being a big guy, appears to be made of balsa wood?
  17. It can be really difficult to recover when results have been as bad as this. Sometimes you just need a fresh face in the dugout.
  18. I've said this before, but if we were relegated while winning some games, and losing others, but even in the losing games, giving it a good go but not being quite good enough, I'd be okay with that. Its what we are watching that is the problem.
  19. Who are we playing in goal, the keeper that got Cowdenbeath relegated or something? Still, once we magically find a striker next week, everything will be fine.
  20. Exactly! All these teams are desperate for a striker, even mediocre goal scorers will be able to name their price at these full time clubs. Unless we have agreed a contract with Ronaldo, we are doomed. And even if we agreed a contract with Ronaldo, our fans would complain because he's not a proven Scottish striker and is probably Nouble's mate. We. Are. Doomed.
  21. The Raith discussions on striker options are identical to our striker woes. I think over half the league is desperate to unearth a striker. I've been wondering if they even exist right now though. There seems to be a shortage of prolific goalscoring forwards, extending from the premier league right down to league 2. There just don't seem to be many young strikers in the Scottish game right now.
  22. I think we're watching different teams! I've been watching games where we play McKenna, Allan and Tait in exactly the same central midfield spot, with no out ball, resulting in us scoring 12 goals in 18 games. I don't know what team you've been watching, but it sounds much more exciting!
