Looking forward to taking in this derby match this weekend, especially as both having a good season.

Haven't been to Luncarty in many years - though I hear the pies and gravy are good!

Luncarty should be favourites but just hoping for an exciting game with a few goals.   (already eyeing up the corresponding fixture in late December).

Took this one in today thought the local Perth derby was the pick off the bunch.

it was a classic luncarty performance out the traps from the start similar to when I watched them against the glens. Could have easily been 7/8 in the first half if the boys brought their shooting boots as kinnoull couldn’t get out their half.

second half luncarty got the 4th reasonably early and then looked to make subs and take off some key players and the game fizzled out.

was hoping for a top of table tight clash but it was men v boys in the end

  2. Was impressed with the bluebells cup win on Saturday so decided to travel up to Perth given the swifts strong start. For all the pretty football the swifts try and play the Bluebell’s hard work and commitment trumped them to see them run out 2-0 winners. Swifts will need to show a bit more grit when the going gets tough if they’re going to challenge Linlithgow and Penicuik who will be favs for the premier. Wouldn’t write off the bluebell though! Improved side under Hubby

Going to take in the bluebell at home to Tayport tomorrow. Expecting a comfortable home win but always expect a few funny results in the Scottish cup! All the best to all clubs taking part in this great competition!

As I said earlier Oakley are not that bad.  4-1 flattered Broxburn on Saturday. The teams that have beaten them this season are all top half of the division.

Yeah they had more up top than I anticipated from watching them last year and losing the boy love. Will need to start picking up some points soon though to stay in this difficult league.

Took in this evening's Fife derby at Humbug Park as Crossgates Primrose took on a struggling Oakley United.

From 2-0 up, to 3-2 down, Crossgates eventually won 4-3 in a pretty end to end match.

While Crossgates were the better side and probably just about deserved the win, Oakley will be disappointed they couldn't hang on for at least a draw and remain pointless.

Shoutout to the Crossgates Ultras behind the goal. Without doubt the least annoying group of kids I've encountered at a game yet and there was enough of them singing in unison that they managed to create a bit of atmosphere!

Yeah it was great to see both teams going for at it in a local derby.

was good to see Oakley battle back but Crossgates with the little bit more quality shone through in the end.

Great game for the neutral anyway

  6. Going to watch the cross gates v Oakley game tomorrow evening, expecting an easy 3pts for cross gates.

seen Oakley a few times last year and surprised that they were the team to win the B division and think it was all down to the boy love who was immense. Don’t think they can replace him since he moved onto the blue Brazil and seen nothing else up-top for them. Would imagine they will be going straight back down with few points this year.

    First Division

    2.30pm

    Dunipace (5) v. Leith Ath. (9)

    So just the one game.

Did anyone watch the game? Seemed to be a bit of a goal fest, was expecting dunipace to come out on top for this one so just shows what a tight league it’s going to be.

I watched the glens at home to broom hill who ran out 1-0 winners against the lowland league team. They looked a lot more solid a unit from the last time I seen them fall 7-3 to high flying luncarty.

Don’t know so much about the overall standard. But every team can do damage. There’ll be very many strange and unexpected results throughout the season.
21/22 seemed to be a two horse race between Leith and Haddington. It seems a bit more balanced this season.

Theres always going to be unexpected events that will take everyone by surprise. It’s these unforeseen circumstances that may have the biggest say.

I think with the teams that came down and the leagues merging it makes it hard to call, although so far luncarty & Dunbar are looking good.

I didn’t see much of conference A last year, seen a-lot of the glens and other fife based teams although the Hi Hi seemed to make it looked comfortable in the end.
