It's Dumbarton's 150th anniversary on 23rd December coming. For almost my entire life Rangers founding year was accepted as 1873, making us Scotland's fourth oldest club.
At some point recently somebody clocked Rangers mileage and the year 1872 appeared. According to our DFC historian Rangers were apparently formed as a club in 1872, but it was 1873 before they kicked a ball in anger.
So, they were there, but not actually playing - a bit like this season's Champions League.
Rangers’ beginnings were therefore similar to their end - they are still here (going through liquidation) but not actually playing

We’ve got a couple of guys who are on big wages but have hardly kicked a ball in the first half of the season, Shaughnessy and Brophy.
We really should have offloaded these guys before signing Gogic and Olusanya….
Indeed, Olusanya has been out injured almost from the start while Gogic has been a back up player.
Lots of wages for very little return

Fir Park, a ground that once hosted more St Mirren fans than it’s ever hosted Motherwell fans

I’ve resigned myself to us losing Erhahon and Baccus is the near future. If they were both sold in the January window though that’s be an absolute disaster for us.
Ready made replacements in Gogic and Kiltie with plenty of cash to find the next Baccus, Strain, Ayunga….

We need to have another go at getting Angus Gunn to switch to us

Ceptic fans have a serious lack of awareness
Then again, so do Sevco 2012 fans

I’d go with this line up
Gordon
Hendry Hanley Tierney
Ramsey Robertson
Armstrong McTominay Ferguson
McGinn
Dykes

Fairy Nuff but only Lavety (just) is from this millenia.
Did we love Michael Higdon, he had one very good season with us.
Guy who used to sit in front of me in the main stand used to give Higdon pelters every week, even when he scored that hat trick against Accies

Other than Thommo have we ever had a striker that was universally loved?
Obika, post that goal, comes closest...
Lavety, McAvennie, McGarvey?
Alex Bone?

Kevin glancey we know who you are?
obviously otherwise the song makes no sense!

With the league so tight, wouldn’t it be great if there were no Old Firm? There would be so many clubs in contention
Why do we tolerate this? We don’t need the OF. It’s them that needs us
We need to start a league without the OF

Kiltie was excellent last night
But he’s in competition with Baccus and O’Hara for 2 places alongside Erhahon.
So who drops out to accommodate Kiltie?
I can see Kiltie being in demand come the transfer window and with us needing to reduce the wage bill, I can see him gone

St Mirrens ability to goad the fucking life out of Hearts is an admirable quality and something I’ve always enjoyed. 1986. John Mcginn. Obika.
I know a few jambos who despise st Mirren and it always warms my heart.
I always felt sadness about 1986 until I started work in edinburgh.
Now I’m glad they lost out

Rangers (now in liquidation) celebrated their centenary season in 1973
Why do Sevco (formed in 2012) claim that Rangers were formed in 1872?

Don’t mind losing to Hibs
Its Hearts I have problem with

Was considering going but couldn’t leave before 1pm so gave it a miss.
Good decision!

Indeed. And we’d have plenty of cash to bring in replacements and maybe make space for Reid to get a chance
