McGlynn loves an end of season collapse. We had to endure that far too often.

Is there a point that Falkirk’s inability to escape the seaside destroys the club?

Surely playing Clyde and Peterhead et all will make even the most ardent of supporters say enoughs enough !

    When is the AGM 👀😂

They obviously love it down there

I thought they were winning the league so the play off should've been no problem biggest bottle merchants ever lmfao

I personalky THINK that the players will show up focused for these playoffs.

It's annoying though, and concerning, that I have to draw my own conclusions over that rather than watch them play at the same level they have been and know that we have the best chance we can have of going up.

Just be thankful yous ain't playing us

Congrats to The Pars on getting out of this horrible league at the first attempt. On our head to heads I didn't see an awful lot between the sides, excluding the 3-4 defeat you gave us at the Excelsior and even then the sending off changed that game. It's been the other games where you have been completely relentless and the league table does not lie.  Hopefully we can (finally) get through the play offs to join you but if we don't so long as Falkirk don't go up either we'll all be happy.

Edited to add: Hope to f**k we don't do some ridiculous guard of honour for you coming on to the pitch next week unless it's been agreed in advance that you'll lie down for us.

I'd take a 5 nil gubbing next week if it meant falkirk didn't go up lol

I mean, I have pointed out before... Several of your fans (for some bizarre reason, including on this thread) have proclaimed Airdrie a better team than us, despite the league positions saying otherwise, so these things do happen and are far from unique to Falkirk fans. I'd hope I wouldn't find such inconsitency from yourslef were I to go and look, but you can rest easy, because I won't.

Airdrie have been a better side against us they have been very hard to beat

As others have mentioned, airdrie played St Mirren off the park earlier this season, Dundee fans said we were one of the best teams at dens park this season and we have scudded most teams in the league this season (the 4-3 defeat to Dunfermline was bizarre and due to a sending off). If we get to the play offs then we have a good chance to get through them. We also have the ability to completely crumble. We seem to be on a good run at the moment so will be an interesting run in

I will get slagged for this but I reckon if both teams are on form then we are as good as Dunfermline. However, they have been most consistent and picked up points even when playing shite so deserve to win the league

I agree Airdrie are the best team we've faced all season

To those on here saying that it is unacceptable to be so far behind Dunfermline perhaps you should take on board the following.

Dunfermline started this season with a very strong squad that had massively underperformed under two clueless managers who managed to relegate a team that had been one of the favourites for promotion.

Now that they have a competent manager it’s hardly a shock that they are going to win the title even if the style of football would make your eyes bleed.

In contrast McGlynn came to a club at its lowest ebb since the late 70’s.

A huge rebuild was required both on and off the pitch and only an idiot or someone with an agenda could possibly argue that the club is not now in a much stronger place.

We are a long way still from being where we need to be but I genuinely think that we will achieve promotion through the playoffs.

On a completely different point just watched the Scotland game, that new strip is a thing of beauty and would make a perfect Bairns kit.

I 100% agree about that scotland kit it is a total belter

I could live with another season in L1. Surely the unexpected cup money makes that viable with the current squad costs.

Good foundations set... no big teams coming down.. automatic promotion next season an absolute must. Anything else unacceptable.

Yeah no big teams like us cos we are going up lol sorry I had to !

Queens Park finished 4th, 21 points behind Airdrie last year (and weren't particularly great) and yet over two-legs beat Airdrie who results wise had the momentum most on here seem to think we'll need heading into what appears to be our best shot at promotion with the title looking wrapped-up.

Appreciate Airdrie are absolute bottle merchants which is small comfort.

Tuesday’s draw at Alloa would have been a major boost for them, and being 3-0 down to Airdrie yet still finding a way to win the game is absolutely the hallmark of a team likely to win the league.

McGlynn has improved us a lot, but there was far too much that needed improving for it all just to fall into place within a single season. McGlynn is a decent manager, but he isn’t a miracle worker. He was awarded the L1 title in the Covid shortened season, and won the old L2 title at the 3rd attempt. To actually win L1 over a full season is much new territory for him as it is for us.

All we can do is hope for the best either by winning the title (unlikely), or by getting up via the play offs (a bit more likely). I haven’t paid much attention to the tail end of the Championship, but it’s maybe worthy of a bit more attention now.

You’ve matched us point for point over the last couple of months and have added well, whereas we’ve lost one decent loanee and replaced him with another. Even beating us once and finishing a close second could give you decent momentum in the play offs. Plenty to play for.

I agree win one of those games against us an yous are bk in in but won't win both
