Lang as a back up/squad player sure, definitely not Spencer, he will suit McGlynn's sideways and back passing style.

No danger would I have wanted Lang back here. Never managed a game the first time. He has played just over 60 games in his career and he is 26. Nearly half of those games were played last year coming back from doing his ACL and Raith were still happy to get rid. I wouldn't wish an injury on any professional footballer but his record is poor. The boy is made of chocolate and I mean Cadburys flake.

Well obviously I'm not party to the terms of the sale to Hibs in the first place but I'd be amazed if it's a straight percentage of fee. It would make no sense. I've never seen a "sell on" clause not refer to percentage of profit, especially if the initial fee was not insignificant.

To put it in perspective, with some rough numbers. Hibs pay £250,000 to Dunfermline to sign him in the first place. Three years down the line they sell him to St Johnstone for £200,000 and they have to then give £50,000 of it (or whatever percentage it is) to Dunfermline despite making a loss on the transaction overall? That would be bonkers.

That would be mad. A sell on is a percentage of profit made.

  3. Tbf I can understand the "apathy" as one bairn described it and I suspected it might happen after the game at East End. It appears the cup semi final has compounded things as it is a bit too early to be playing for your place in the cup game. Reading what bairns fans are saying about team selection though is the hard bit to get your head round as you would think the only way to defeat any apathy is to rotate players and ensure everyone thinks there are cup places up for grabs. As the Airdrie fan alluded to its hard for any team to turn a performance on and winning is a habit you want to be in before the play offs. Not sure league position has any additional effect though.

  4. Tbf we are doing a lot better than I thought we would with the size and age of squad. I wouldn't say we have been lucky with injuries but it could have been worse. Other teams must have realised by now we can only make 3 substitutions in each game. The biggest problem with the small squad is that players know they can have a shocker and can retain their place so there is no real pressure on your position which is never good. Overall I think McPake has done well we just need a bit more quality and experience. Lastly, if we are trying to develop young players why does the U18  league play every fixture on a Friday, day before the big team, just to make it even harder for young boys? Rips ma knitting.

  5. As long as people remain transparent. Somebody on here said there is no cash and that is what usually takes a firm under. Trying to sell access to future games is usually one of the last resorts as nobody wants to tie up future income even with only 25 tickets. The problem at this stage is firms and individuals are worried about investing in case administration is imminent. I am sure there are not many Bairns fans who can afford £5k if it just end up giving you a numbered ticket with an administrator. If anyone at Falkirk knows what the situation is I hope they step in before fans spend £5k on a ticket. Rival or not I hope things are not so bad.
