  1. I thought Gunning was a left back? Am I very much mistaken, or has he played there in the past?
  2. Werder were excellent, but Stuttgart were as bad defensively as any Bundesliga side I've ever watched. Truly shocking performance from them. Claudio Pizzaro is still a class act btw.
  3. Been to Augsburg about 5 times. Don't have a bad word to say about the club or the stadium.
  4. Pretty sure that they do aye. Within the Munich metropolitan area.
  5. That's been confirmed on sky sports news as a signing. Loan until January. Fingers crossed he's got the pace were looking for.
  6. Busy day in the Bundesliga, with Wolfsburg being the busiest side. After losing de Bruyne to Man City and Perisic to Inter, they've signed Dante from Bayern and broken their transfer record to sign Julian Draxler for €40 million. Adnan Januzaj on loan to BVB is a strange one, considering he's started the last few Man Utd games.
  7. Javier Hernandez set to sign for Bayer Leverkusen tomorrow apparently. Interesting signing, and a strong replacement for Son. Any other big rumours for the final day of the window tomorrow?
  8. That's Abdul Baba's move to Chelsea confirmed, for a reported fee of £21 million. An astronomical amount of money for a club like Augsburg. Now they need to get a replacement signed, they can't go the entire season playing Markus Feulner there. I can't help but feel that Augsburg have stood still this summer as far as their squad is concerned. I just hope that doesn't come back to haunt them, especially with a Europa League campaign to contend with this season. Marko Marin rumoured to be coming in on loan as part of the Baba deal, that would be a good start.
  9. Was only 3-1 to Bayern in the end. Couple of shocks today, with Bundesliga new boys Ingolstadt losing away to Unterhaching, and the gift that keeps on giving, Hamburg, being beaten at Carl Zeiss Jena. Both of those sides play in the fourth tier.
  10. Rapid Vienna fans are utter scumbags, some of the worst I've ever seen. Oh, and the match wasn't moved to the national stadium, Rapid are playing there at the minute while they build a new stadium. Will be ready for next season.
  11. Away end gates have been totally replaced. Saw it when I passed on the bus after work yesterday. The new gates are not even gates, it's just metal fencing.
  12. Loving the new stadium of German third tier side SSV Jahn Regensburg. Something like this, maybe a little bigger in capacity, would be ideal for a cub like Aberdeen.
  13. Have you considered not being a great big shitebag?
  14. I know I only saw a few games last season, but I don't see the issue with Kilday myself. He played every single game last season, some could say that was due to lack of competition, but I would be more inclined to suggest that it as because he was a reliable performer.
  15. With our current squad, I would go with the following team Gaston Kilday - McKeown - O'Ware - Russell Pepper Barr - Forbes - Tidser - McCluskey MacDonald Ideally, we would sign an experienced centre mid to replace Pepper, some real competiton for MacDonald and someone to compete with Stef (who I think will be a surprise this season), but otherwise I don't think that's a bad team at all. Good pace on the flanks, and creativity in the middle of the park.
  16. Received a short email from the club, passed on from the painter that will be with us tomorrow. If anyone could bring any of the following items along, it would help out, but it's not essential. - if any can fit small steps in their cars great - carrier bags for brushes and rollers - rags/kitchen roll for cleaning up at end of day - any old dust sheets/bed sheets - gloves & wear old clothing As said above, it's no big deal if you can't, just been asked to pass on the message. See all the volunteers tomorrow.
  17. Alright, everything has now been confirmed for 10am on Saturday morning for those volunteers that have offered to help out with painting etc at Cappielow. The club have arranged for an experienced painter to come in and give us some pointers and general instructions, just to keep us in the right direction. So, see you guys at Cappielow on Saturday morning.
  18. You may recall that I posted on the thread in the League 1 forum a few weeks back regarding getting a group of fans together to do maintenance work down at Cappielow over the summer. Well it hasn't been forgotten about! I was down at Cappielow earlier this evening having a walkround with Crawford Rae and Mark Farrell, looking at what work was needing done etc. There will be a lot of scraping and painting needing done of crush barriers, walls, railings etc. It was proposed that we could get into Cappielow to do the work on the weekends of 20-21 June and 27-28 June, together with a couple of Thursday nights, the 18th and 25th of June, between around 5 and 8pm. If those who would be interested in helping out could let me know which dates would be suitable for them, I can feed this back to Crawford to enable the club to have sufficient paint/brushes etc for those coming down. Cheers, Darren.
  19. My experience with Edinburgh Airport was that that passport control when flying back in was always packed, but the last time I flew in (in March) it was a dawdle, strolled right up to the self service thing, straight in and through. Munich airport is by far the best large airport I've ever used. It's just set out so well, with each check in area having it's own passport control and security desk, rather than it being centralised like in the UK airports. I think I've only ever once queued for any more than 10 minutes, and I used to fly through there pretty regularly.
  20. I think the point was more about the fee, than the player himself.
  21. It wasn't really my intention to find her on tinder, was just the way it happened. Also, I'm currently living in her brother's spare room, so that might have caused some issues. I'll approach it again in a month when I move into my own place.
  22. Got chatting to my mate's sister last week, bumped into her in the pub. Just making conversation, and knowing that she's recently single after being in a relationship for 3 years, I was asking her how the single life was treating her. She then goes on about Tinder, how she's had some dates etc. I got home, and in a drunken haze, downloaded it, and yesterday she popped up. Swiped right. I look forward to the awkward conversation if we match
