  1. Genuinely can’t believe it. I know it’s one game and only three points but it’s felt like there have been multiple total solar eclipses since the last league win against Rangers.

32 points in 29 games. County finished in 11th with 34 points last season so we are not far away. Of course we should be looking up the way but I’m happy to just be a bit safer from the drop.

As for Kettlewell his stats have been rank for a while but running Celtic very close and beating Livi and Rangers away all in the same week will likely buy him some good will and reset things. Fair enough. All I wanted was for him to keep us up and he’s not that far away with 9 games still to go.

I decided a couple of seasons ago I would stop going to Old firm home games. Something I can live without.

Like you I also tend to avoid the result till FT. I did know we were 1-0 up at HT but when I next checked it was 2-1 Celtic.

Of course I am annoyed but had I watched the game live or even on TV the pain would be many times worse. I get that the joy of winning would be tempered, but since we have not beaten either side of the old firm for 8 years and Rangers for even longer than that then I think it is a safer bet avoiding altogether.

Exactly where I am. Home games are pretty toxic as their fans are (or were when I did go) in the Main Stand as well. Horrible.

Game was on in the background but I certainly wasn’t giving it my full attention. When it went 1-1, I thought it was going to end up a 1-4 defeat or a boot in the plums at the very death. Sigh. It’s not just us that fold so easily, as has been said elsewhere, but it’s very predictable and VERY boring.

If I was to use a bit of vernacular of the footballing world I’d say that my head has went down since it was confirmed that Kettlewell is here till next May (2-23) and all the other potentially more serious chat from the AGM.

The only way this season could get ANY worse at this point is to end up in a play off with Raith Rovers, coast the away tie with a 3-0 win but panic and shite our briefs at home and lose that 4-0.

  3. No wonder Kettlewell has been cool as ice in post match interviews with a league record of 2 wins in the last 22 games. He knew for a FACT that with a wee secret one year extension tagged on to his contract we couldn’t afford to ditch him. Remember the media had Lennon lined up as a potential new gaffer about three months ago? This is how much Kettlewell’s contract has been kept under wraps. Anyone with half an eye on our finances would have known if his contract lasted longer than the summer he was never going. Financially impossible.

As far as I can see we have played 33 games this season and won 10. A win percentage of just over 30%. Not shabby. However, five of those wins have been against lower league opposition in the Cup. Just looking at the league this season he has a win percentage of just over 19%. That’s poor.

The stats the Club are peddling today are good……..but they are getting boosted by wins in the League Cup group stages. As well as a good start……that can’t be taken away from him but his numbers have been rank for about 6 months now. Half his managerial reign.

Has anyone clarified if he keeps us up this year that another year isn’t added again? Nothing would surprise me at this point.

Fully aware of our position in the league. Hardly pretending it's open and shut, I just said we have an opportunity to change things when CEO. I've been fairly consistent in that and have also stated that I don't see the point in us binning him while the season is ongoing.

I've backed Kettlewell a lot, particularly during the run without a win. I wouldnt at all say he's been a disaster, but he's shown he's not as good of a manager as he thinks he is, not even close. I think a handshake and a new direction at the end of the season might be best for all involved and I don't think I'm alone in that.

You are most certainly not. New manager search officially announced on 01/06 for me.

Two league wins in 21 matches played. We are just very lucky Livi have had an absolute horror show or it could be a LOT more nervy.
Imagine this lot in a tense play off. Their collective arses have just collapsed in a 7th spot placeholder game.

A class display of bed shitting that's very on brand for this complete gang. The defence and goalkeeper look like they're utterly terrified every time they're asked to deal with a set piece because neither trusts the other. As soon as Aberdeen pulled one back you could see the panic set in.

I can't see anything about this squad & manager that makes me think going full scorched earth policy in the summer and starting over isn't the best plan.

In this scenario, I worry Kettlewell is a cockroach.

  6. 3 wins in 23 games. One of those wins was against a League One side in the Cup. This also contains a defeat to a team in the Championship in the Cup and the inability to win a game against a team, who are also in a poor run of form, you are beating by three goals.

Absolutely no leadership on and off the park. I would gladly leave Kettlewell and Kelly up there.
