Is this coming up to 4 clubs in 2 seasons? The boy is always on the move, has he actually won anything? Don’t get they hype, it seems if there is no money involved and sees it elsewhere, he moves. Theirs being ambitious but you have to win trophies to work your way up surely
I don’t know if you’re looking for a bight here or not but he won the EOS prem with Tranent and then defeated Darvel to take Tranent into the Lowland. “Allegedly” (need to say that) he was given an opportunity to step up the leagues which fell through. Which is why he parted ways at Tranent.

Quite simple then come along to the AGM and remove us dinosaurs- quite happy to step aside for those who know better.
Tell you what come and speak to me at Oakley in Saturday and discuss your thoughts and constructive ideas.
Happily attend the AGM, but you’ll not see me again at a penicuik game anytime soon now. I refuse to part with my money to anything you oversee now. It’s clearly not being invested wisely.
I don’t see why you think that a fan with an opinion should come and run your club.
This started because I said the committee need to take responsibility for yet again another bad decision / appointment. You’re happy to get into an argument on a fans forum but not take even an ounce of responsibility for the failings at the club. Numerous clubs are overtaking us while we continue to to fall deeper and deeper.
who is to blame?

He didnt leave Tranent to go higher up the leagues, he wasnt in a job until Penicuik. He's ambitious, were ambitious - a good match in my opinion. And what is your definition of a 'football guy' - would be delighted to hear so i and my fellow dinosaurs could check if we meet your criteria.
My point exactly, no homework done. He gets Tranent into the lowland league and then just walks away….. why? Maybe he had something lined up higher up that fell through. Maybe?
You don’t meet my criteria, haven’t for a LONG time now. Our 20’s are falling apart, players in the first team don’t meet the standard, our previous manager didn’t cut the mustard and a new young “ambitious” manager realised after a matter of weeks, potentially days that he wanted out the club the second he walked in the door, well done guys, your doing great.0 -
They appointed him, they should have done their homework. Did they really think that an ambitious guy who left Tranent to move higher up the leagues was really in it for the long haul a league down at no budget penicuik. They surely knew he would only stay for a short period, if not then there is a massive issue there. And I’d only join the committee if my fellow committee members were football guys.

Not the right man for me. I’ve heard another couple of names thrown about who for me would fit the mould better with us than Callum.
If it does turn out to be him and he gets the slightest sniff of a move higher up, he will be long gone. We need longevity, not a one season wonder. In saying that, beggars can’t be choosers I suppose, let’s just hope whoever does come in can get us back firing where we should be and get us out this mess.Mystic Frankie strikes again, I f@3king called it, I knew it. The dinosaurs on that committee are the ones that need to shoulder the blame for this, not Callum.

Tynie appointed Kings asst to the manager post did they not?
Yeah the boy hart took over but apparently Stevie is also back on the scene there again.

Or, Stevie McLeish?
McLeish is a great coach/manager and I think he’d be a far better appointment than Hammell but I can’t imagine the Nitten faithful would welcome his return.
Mcleish back helping out at Tynie if rumours we are hearing up here are true.

I've asked him about berwick and he said the berwick and camelon jobs were the same. Squads that weren't good enough and took over mid season both around October/November time.
He said he wouldn't take a job like that again.
See to be honest, and I mean completely honest. He’s just not a nice guy, I’ve never (apart from you) heard anyone say a nice word about him, he thought he was above everyone else during his time at Penicuik, thought he was Billy big baws and untouchable walking into Berwick and he failed, too many peoples satisfaction I’ll add.
going by your above comments aswell, he’s clearly not a good decision making either.
listen maybe he’s changed, but a tainted reputation is hard to shift and his name is certainly mud up here in the rookie cookie.1 -
Has anyone heard any rumours of Callum Elliot applying for the role? He has only just been appointed at Penicuik but I heard a whisper that he has already show an interest in the cowden job, just wanted an opinion from a cowden perspective.

He has a few I’m lead to believe, maybe Johnny can tell us why he never got the Leith job?

Not much to work with at Camelon to be fair to him.
What about Berwick?

As a penicuik fan I’ll be honest, I was hoping Hamill got our gig, every time he played against us his teams were well organised and played really attractive football. Plus gave us a doin at times too.
I think he would be a great addition at Nitten, don’t even get me started on Johnny Harvey.

I never managed up last night but good to see an improved result from Sundays game.

I am the manager of Nitten Star u20s. Neither me nor anyone connected with the u20s have posted on this thread at any point. The first team stuff is absolutely nothing to do with me, or us, do not involve us in this conversation again.
We enjoy it at the club and are half way through a 3/4 year project with a very young exciting squad and we want to see that through to the end before the players move on to play in the senior game. We have been approached about first team jobs elsewhere and turned them down for these reasons, so to suggest we are desperately making up rubbish on forums to get a first team job is absolutely nonsense. Its pathetic.
"if its true or not i don't know" - I would suggest you know fine well it isn't true. You realise saying stuff like that could cause rifts or issues at the club, or perhaps that was your intention here.
People have far too much time on their hands, find something useful to do rather than spending time talking absolute rubbish on faceless forums.
Hi Mr Tee, that was a VERY quick response. Some would say convenient but I’m not going to look too much into that. Bottom line, I couldn’t give two bamboo shoots about nitten,
I have no motive to cause a “riff” at the club I’m a penicuik fan if truth be told but when I asked my mate WTF was going on with the drama at nitten, that’s what he said. Been a few new accounts created recently having a pop at the manager and really playing the youth card, just putting 2&2 together.

Not my club nitten but a good mate of mine has been a supporter of the club for over 45 years.
He actually doesn’t mind Mr King and has said that the rumour he has heard is that the U20’s manager and his staff want king out so they can try and land the job so have been posting on here to try and stir up some traction against him, having read some of the previous posts on here that might well have some legs, it’s an open forum so I though I might aswell just Chuck that grenade in. If it’s true or not i don’t know.

I said it before that I didn’t feel CE was the right man for what our club needs. At his former club Callum had access to funds at his disposal which he certainly won’t receive at penicuik.

I see yer managers moaning at the officials in the advertiser this week.
Culture shocks below the premier with no assistants at all
Still good to see them (Midlothian Advertiser) at least acknowledge there's other teams in Midlothian for a change.
Don’t start me on his interviews
yeah, nice to see other clubs in there apart from the usual.
Apologies if I picked you up incorrectly in previous posts

Hardly worthy of a reply, ye lost all credibility with yer last paragraph but maybe best to contact the club committee with your concerns instead of hiding behind a keyboard. Just saying likes
offt I didn’t expect you to bite that quickly.
It’s sound you have a pop at us but when it’s returned then you spit the dummy
not hiding behind anything mate, my names in my username just like yours Mr Newcastle.
where is the guy from sandys to put you back in your cage
We have got a bit off topic, changes needed at Penicuik asap and certain committee members are more than aware of my and others current concerns.

Coincidently 3 new Penicuik posters in 24 hours on a thread that apart from the lad that posts the game footage was virtually non existent. Hmmmmmm
I don’t get your point, are we not allowed to comment on our club unless we’ve been lifelong p&b members?
I can’t comment on the others but I’ve viewed these threats in the background for long enough but can’t hold my tongue anymore.I get your point about Mr Penman being the only input on here, there is a lot more to be discussed and more should publicly have their say.
even shitty whitehill have a bigger presence on here

For all I'm happy with the result as a Musselburgh man I'd be careful what you wish for here. Who would be any better for you than Stevie is at the moment. Stevie's a decent manager and many at the Burgh would have been happy to have him back here at recent points in our past.
Musselburgh's going through a great spell (with a hugely well liked and sharp manager)just now as have Penicuik in the recent past, you were only only stopped short by Tranent flinging money at their 'project' in the same time-frame last season. Took us a wee bit to arrive at the place we're at with Liam now after a few managerial juggling acts since we lost Geordie who had been an absoulte star for us. Set high standards and you've made a noose for your own neck but I'd trust Stevie to turn this around (don't think it needs that much to do that, Penicuik are nowhere near a rank side after all).
Who is about and available that would replace him? Who would offer better to Penicuik right now? Got a fair bit of time for Penicuik, love a game up there and a lot of decent people up there, there is a wee edge to some of their supporters though that certainly puts that (smallish) group into the 'you'd never mistake them for a ray of sunshine' set.
More time to pull together than creating difficulties you don't need to. No more than my thoughts, know that some Cuikie fans will reckon it's none of my concern but offering a bit of a neutral perspective. You said Stevie is a decent manager, I would say Stevie “WAS” a decent manager, in my opinion he is too old for the current game and his recruitment this season has shown how out of touch with it all he really is. We need a young enthusiast manager at the helm, like when Johnny Harvey first came in (although keep him as far away from Penicuik as possible now, he’s burnt that bridge)
