  3. Next week is going to be a case of trying to score 2 or 3 early, a makeshift defence with no height Alloa will be licking their lips Getting out of next week undefeated will be a huge challenge! Fingers crossed the boys can do it
  4. John and Paul were on good form on the clubs podcast this week. They’ve more than earned their victory lap on this, FTV, FD, awards night, etc. over the next month! https://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/2024/04/11/ffc-podcast-episode-14-available-now/
  5. Posted a long ramble on Twitter summing up my feelings copied below. Hard to believe how bad things were 2 years ago, what a turnaround off and on the park Been a mad weekend, one of the best ever. The relief before kick-off was an incredible feeling when the Hamilton result came through, really allowed me to enjoy the game, and what a performance it was. That half an hour on the park after full time was After 7 years of failure, and 19 years without seeing the club win promotion, Saturday was just magic. Watched the game again on Sunday and was thinking back to the first @FalkirkFC podcast we did with @JamieSwinney86 two years ago. The club was on its arse, I was absolutely fuming at the end of that campaign, and we were staring part-time football in the face. Came out of that worried what could happen if things got worse, but optimistic that the work behind the scenes by the board and staff would be successful, and the recruitment of John & Paul was the right one. Another nearly campaign last year ending in anger, but the team built the fans confidence in the first half of the season. Late goals against Montrose, Queens, and Stirling never let Hamilton pull away. Then the result away in December against them is when it felt like it might happen. The 8 days in February where we smashed Accies, who could have cut the gap to 5 that day, then followed up with two victories building a 17 point gap was special. The fans have been different class and have been finally rewarded for their support. Well done to them, and huge well done to everyone inside the club whose work has finally got us this title. Next year might end up being tough, but this season will live long in the memory.
  6. Latest club podcast is out by the way, ties in with tonight’s AGM https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/the-falkirk-fc-podcast/id1623438994?i=1000650018797 https://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/2024/03/22/ffc-podcast-episode-13-available-now/
  7. Would happily take 4 points from tomorrow and Tuesday, but fingers crossed the boys can do the business tomorrow. A win and a draw in either order gives the same points advantage however I think it’ll kill Hamilton’s spirit completely if we beat them, and beat them well.
  8. Terrible performance, they were nothing more than a reasonably well organised side. Worked it well first half to get 2v1s against our full backs but didn’t create much. Big disappointment for us is that if we were at it we’d be able to get through their midfield as we have against similar set ups this season. Still, the team has shown that they’ll bounce back after disappointments and if anything is going to get a fire under their arse, it’s sitting stewing with that game for two weeks. Fully expect us to be back at it against Hamilton.
  9. A wee Saturday treat, latest club podcast is out today and features Brad Spencer, Calvin Miller, and Tom Lang. Recorded yesterday, the boys were in good spirits https://www.falkirkfc.co.uk/2024/02/03/ffc-podcast-episode-12-available-now/
  10. Pace and glimpses of quality, but never produced it when we needed it. Not sure he’s full time level in all honesty, but will probably do you a job.
  11. You’ve missed my point, which isn’t a surprise as you team is currently missing 9
  12. Not overly worried by today (or even last week) yet. Both games we’ve lost out on set pieces and there’s reasons for the dip in performance in each. I’d start to panic if it continues in to Alloa and TNS but I expect we’ll be back to our game next week with our regular team and a decent surface. McGlynn probably has a bit of work to do on lifting morale of the bench players though after the past week. Hamilton’s game being off today was a plus for us as it doesn’t let them put pressure on this week.
