In fairness I'm not quite sure there is anything particularly wrong with the questions I have sought answers to which may I add, have conveniently been avoided.

I recognise we have went a little off the beaten track probably due to my own inquisitive nature just due to the challenges surrounding the fixture list, but I'm sure you can understand that all competitions are now fair game for these questions, not solely the SJC.

With the greatest of respect but you'd be far better putting your 'inquisitive nature ' towards something that isn't so mind numbingly boring and in the grand scheme of things not of much importance and of no real relevance to this important even today historic grand old cup.

We actually had 9 new entrants but lost 2 entrants from last season.

Hall Russell and Whitehills as you said.

St Cadoc’s and Finnart as new members from the West.

Kello Rovers returning after a ban. Rossvale and Pollok competing as non-members as allowed in the new rules.

Pumpherston returning to the competition and Camelon returning to membership from the East.

A total of 9 new clubs.

Syngenta folded and Harthill Royal did not take up Junior membership.

A loss of 2, making it a gain of 7.

Of the increase in Byes into the Second Round we gained 6 and lost one.

Beith as winners of the West Premier, Culter as Winners of the North Premier,

Carluke, Glenafton, (New Members of SFA) & Pollok, Camelon. (SFA Full members that did not participate last season).

    We lost Syngenta.

Footnote -  In the West of Scotland it now has the same priority as the South Region Challenge Cup, the Strathclyde Cup and the West of Scotland League Cup. As voted for at the WoSFL AGM.

    Excellent news 👍

Nope, not really but I do love it that I'm the first person you thought of, must be in your head lolol
I couldn't give two fecks, I only reply when not too intelligent people come out with utter shit about how amazing juniors and junior cup are not was.
The Juniors were amazing back in the day, but that's the past and yeah Clubs should never forget that past, its in its history and I congratulate everyone as they will all never forget
I will say, the worrying thing on here is how dumb people think, even keyboard wizards are dumb at times.
If you think the junior cup is getting better and better, then people like you are the reason why junior football ended up in the state it was.
The junior cup final, I'm genuinely, and speaking from the heart here, still to find anyone who enjoyed the Junior cup final last season, it was horrendous.  I even know neutrals who went and told me it was rubbish.  I loved the junior cup when I was younger, loved playing in it, loved and dream of the idea playing in the final etc.. But I get the impression that you think I'm totally against it, nope, far from it but if it makes you happy then believe it. The junior cup is NOT a national tournament because tons of teams throughout the country do not want to play in it or have no intention of playing in it, again FACT.

Have you ever worked out why teams left the junior cup and don't want back throughout the country?
The thing is, a cup that you think is beneath the junior cup, has more teams in it, better quality of teams and officially, teams don't lose money out of it and its not run correctly as in advertising and promotion and its only a regional cup, now that is embarrassing for you Jim.
It doesn't matter how much you try to spin it, you don't come out of this well, even the ones who red dot this post know I'm correct

The standard of football is rising in Scotland at our level, more technical, better coaching, that's my view.  Believe it or not, the pyramid makes it more exciting for teams, committees, players, fans and youth players coming through etc... to dream of playing at a higher level, trying to progress without limits. but Junior football when it was functioning a few years back was archaic and going no where with old men running it who didn't look to progress or look to the future, only wanted to stay in power and old guys who ran the clubs listened to them and it meant junior football couldn't progress and crowds were dwindling.   I'm not saying this because I'm bealing lolol,  just an actual FACT.

The negatives that you and a few others ignore is amazing.  The Junior cup costs many teams money, so they come out of it at a loss, correct me if I'm wrong but don't think anyone receives money from making it to specific rounds until they get to the quarter/finals?.  If a Glasgow team are drawn away to an Aberdeen team or visa versa, the coach usually costs somewhere in the region of £800 and the junior FA gives the travelling team somewhere in the region of £240 travelling money, a loss of £560 more or less.

Last season an example of WOSFL teams first round ties, (I'm sure fans or committees of the away teams can confirm or correct etc...
    Banks o Dee v Newmains
    Buchannan Hearts V Ashfield
    Carluke V Ellon United
    Colony Park v Bellshill
    Dufftown v Maryhill
    East End V Lanark
    Glasgow Perthshire v Cruden Bay
    Irvine Vics V Fraserburgh
    Islay V Dalry
    Lesmahagow V Hermes
    Petershill v Nairn
    Vale of Leven v Banchory

Unless some of these away teams got amazing or free travel, they would have paid out at the very least £700 for a coach and usually in the £800s and each away team was shafted only receiving somewhere in the region of £220 - £260 from the Junior FA, losing £500 to £600 per round.  Some teams even drawn next round, away twice, even 3 times so where shafted again lolol.

Me personally, I would love a national non league cup for teams at tier 5 and below but right now there aint any apatite for whatever reason but many teams also deem their leagues more important and the real Scottish Cup the same.   If the junior cup needs to get better and better as you say it, then they need to address their problems, work out why thousands and thousands of people don't want to deal with them anymore, once they get over those issues and improve, then possibilities are there but I'm sure P&B and happy for people like yourself to continue in your one sided views

    Blah blah blah blah blah

Is this nutcase always like this?  😳

  4. What an absolute shitshow ukraine now find themsleves in .

A country that let's face it will never fully recover , will lose a large percentage of land .

A generation wiped out  physically and nothing left in the country for anyone stupid enough to hang around.

If only they kept control of own affairs  adhered to the mink agreement and not allow itself to be used for a usa russian proxy war .

It actually saddens me to be honest the way the games going , used to be that clubs sat a player down and it was all about what do you want to win and money was secondary, these days the first thing out of the majority of players mouths are how much am I getting / chasing the money .

I'm with tucker and other managers here who want a certain fit for their dressing room and guys that want to win over money,  let the clubs who are chucking money at it fire on and they will soon self implode as more  often than not tends to be the case .

Another thing that I see creeping In is the good old fashioned volunteers of yesteryear now taking wages out of clubs,  I'm probably a dinosaur but a kitman in all my time at this level was all about a guy giving up two training nights and match days for the love of the club ( and it quite often cost them money supplying sandwiches and biscuits for the players and staff ).

Same with guys being part of the clubs media team , it should never cost anyone a fortune to do so but it should be a break even process at best ( maybe through a sponsorship deal ) and to take a wage out clubs at our level isn't quite right.

Generational thing . Social media . New younger generation getting involved but many will float about and its all about them and how they feel me me me whereas bygone generations it was all about the club , the town you are from , the history heritage , keeping a good thing going with the club coming first .

i am in my 40's and its totally alien to me people just moving around clubs at this level whatever happened to your town your club for life end of story.

Changed days if Talbot can't tempt a player away from Benburb, that's no disrespect to Bens as a great wee club and set up , but the lure of trophies and challenging on all fronts has always been the emphasis not the big bucks, is it a generation thing? More interested in an extra £30 for nights out etc rather than lifting trophies??

40 years of success about time they had a little time knowing what its like to 'struggle' a little . Sure they will survive.

  7. Thank you for an update for this.  Many in the ex junior world and wider community look out for this news every year on the holy grail of non league football and with so many clubs participating from the west only right it's included in this section. 👍

It’s done, pushing the boat out salary wise to get him so he needs to deliver and not just domestically. Apparently guaranteed a kitty of 35 mil to spend in this window to get us Champions League ready

Do you think that's 30-35 million plus sales of anyone who wants to leave or he does not want ? or just 30-35 million all in fixed figure .

CB OR TWO AND STRIKER MUST BE PRIORTY.

    Blazers getting touchy on here.

2 seasons down at the pyramid play offs

One failed slightly embarrassing (we're off to Spain on a jolly) attempt v Tranent.

One unlicensed club that may or may not get a licence once Perry Mason figures who actually owns the pitch the team plays on.

    Oh well

Now on to season 3, hopefully get a winner that (a) has a licence and (b) really wants to go up

Hopefully we get the first set of league games out the way this year without 9 clubs playing silly games and getting 3 points deducted.

Still, Cumbernauld in June is nice for a cup final. Luckily they built that retail park next door.

All that and i never said a word about playing musical instruments in Ayrshire.

Let's be brutally honest and nobody of note in the Wosfl Prem will say this publicly but nobody bar Darvel who are in a false position a plaything for someone and a club with delusions of grander somewhat in Clydebank really truly want to go up .

Beith don't want to go up they are happy winning the league and going nowhere and the nice convenient issue with ground is ideal for them.

  10. Let's face it the British and Irish obsession of buying property is now for mugs.

The Europeans don't have the culture view have the right idea.

Here we pay crazy high prices for properties not worth it,  will get shafted with interests rates and all the costs of running a property then if we finally do make it to old age get shafted royally if we need care and lose it all.

Oh the prices for all these soulless sub standard new builds in the middle of nowhere is laughable i mean people really buy these!  Wow

Well said. I’m very much pro-union but I had some respect for Salmond. He was credible as a politician and didn’t have ludicrous woke agendas. He was likeable.

The SNP has completely changed over the last 9-years and has a very dislikable contingent which has made Scotland the laughing stock of Europe.

Exactly a party now hopelessly inept.  corrupt , wokist globalists,  who want Scotland to be controlled by an even bigger union than the union we already in.

This lot are a danger to the public.

In particular to the children,  woman,  scottish Identity and culture.

They are abandoning ship leaving behind a shell of a party with nobody of any substance anywhere near its leadership.

Sturgeon had here eye on a role in Brussels with the EU or with the UN that tells you all you need to know about her.

Our nationalist movement has been ruined by these people .

  12. The Americans have a lot to answer for here.

Installing bio labs all over Ukraine.

Backing the coup of a democratically elected leader who just so happened to want closer more positive relationship with the Russian federation.

Installing there own puppet leader instead .

The most corrupt hopeless president in American history and his crime family sending hundreds of billions of American tax payers money to the  most corrupt inept government in Europe to fight a proxy war with Russia all the while America is literally crumbling.

A puppet globalist actor comedian now in 'charge' who has outlawed opposition political parties, arrests political opponents shuts down newspapers and TV stations that oppose him and even bans the Orthodox Catholic Church, says he's fighting " Tyranny".

He refuses to denounce nazism in the countries military and government and there awful behaviour and practises in the Russian populated areas of donbass.

There is no path for victory of any sort for Ukraine they have allowed themselves to become globalist America puppet plaything at the expense of its very existence.

The Russian federation with take control of its lands in Donbass and protect it people there.

It will keep control of its historic Crimea region and the rest of Ukraine will be a shell of a country and when trump takes over the white house in 2024 it will become a Moldova on a large scale.
