Maybe if Scotland hadn’t fucked about then McGeady and McCarthy would’ve ended up playing for us.

Either way it’s an absolute minter to be upset about it.

Aye, forget doing what every other c**t does who is close to International level. You know….like put your head down and work as hard as you can to constantly improve and be the best player you can possibly be in order to earn the privilege of being called up to represent your country if and when the time comes.

Nah, just turn your back on your country because you can’t be arsed waiting for a call up.

Know how Murdoch got injured but how did Dempsey get injured ....and does anyone know what the injuries actually are and how long they will be out for??

Not sure how Dempsey got injured and the length of time is guesswork at this point, but the talk seems to be that Dempsey will be out anywhere between 2-4 months. Unsure about Murdoch.

It’s not remotely spot on to say that Mathie and Bullen should have been sacked at the end of last season - that is genuinely mental.

It is absolutely fair enough to have some reservations on Bullen, but we’ll see how that plays out over the next few weeks.

I'll admit, I was so eager to reply about the Bullen part, I genuinely didn't even take in that Mathie was included. Fixed it, but stand by Bullen. Think there should have been a mutual agreement to part ways.

Bullen should have been emptied at the end of the season. Nothing that's happened since has changed that.

    Absolutely spot on.

Someone nailed it when saying we are starting all but 2 of the same players as last season. Let that sink in.

Bullen thinks we are fine at full back but is "open" to re-enforcing if someone comes along. Our full backs are targeted every game, and rightly so. They're fucking awful.

He also thinks McKenzie and Bryden are a threat up front. Bryden is a country mile away from Championship level. He didn't win a single header yesterday and just like 95% of Championship games he plays, the opposing centre halves will never have an easier game with him up against them. Just like last season, Bryden scores a few against lower league opposition and then the knee-jerk reaction is that "he's going to set the Championship alight!".

Bullen's blind insistence of playing "one of our own" is going to literally see us relegated.

I think more seats would have resulted in the loss of more of the terraces. Because the physical site isn't huge for the new stand.

The seating schedule in the planning application (see below) has:

530 normal seats (there are 3 different types)

204 cushioned seats (there are 2 different types)

Which is less than I thought, I was sure I recall a number of 900 seats? I could be making that up though.

If away fans do get the space in the new stand then the away section in the main stand will likely become a home section. I'm never in the main stand (other than a spell during covid) but not sure anything can be done with the pillars. I also find the seats a bit tight for legroom tbh.

One thing is for sure, initially those seats in the North Stand will be over subscribed.

Cheers for that mate. Good insight.

I just think personally that because it’s a new stand with relatively small number of general seats (non hospitality), that there will not only be quite a few movers from the main stand but quite a lot of people choosing to buy a season seat in the new stand because they maybe don’t like the main stand and because a side view is absolutely the best way to watch football to see everything clearly so they now have a non-pillared choice for a side view.

I agree there probably isn’t any way to remove the pillars and make it safe by supporting it another way is there? Unfortunately.

Seen this at the Q&A but obviously didn't have the chance to really study it as it was only projected.

When you actually look at it in more detail, it's a tad disappointing just how few seats in the new stand there will be for home fans. 112 seats for hospitality and a significant away seated section as well.

I'd have thought there would be a lot of people looking to move to the new stand to avoid the obstructed view of the pillars in the main stand but not that much availability it seems as I thought there would be.

Outing yourselves here lads- is your big team playing in red white and blue and do you live the king?

    The irony.

You assume that someone is a Rangers fan just because they don't like a player that used to play for the other half of the Glasgow arse cheeks?

Old firm mentality at it's finest.

    You seem level headed.

Sorry, forgot we as fans just had to embrace and be joyful for everything we get.

Mathie basically said the opposite of those first two paragraphs last night.

He said that no one really outspends anyone at this level. Said that Dundee Utd will likely have more this season but at the end of the day everyone is paying roughly the same for the majority of the squad.

He also said that they expected him to leave. That why they tried to get Paton in April.

Anyone who thought Akinyemi was ever staying is totally detached from reality.

Which explains the person you quoted. Perfectly.
