And so it proved. Sigh. Ah well, a wee trip to Kirkcaldy ahead then…

It’s fucking Kirkcaldy, as in, nondescript Edinburgh commuter town with a shite traffic system.

It's a city.
Ross County are going to give Raith the biggest painful no lube ever, dwell on that.
Do hope so.
Raith fans are generally a sound lot, but that rocket Stardog must have been smoking melted astroturf because he has ideas that Kirkcaldy is really New York…

Let’s all hope not eh. Villager
I’ll be suitably appreciative of the Kirkcaldy experience at the playoffs. Now, where’s my Lonely Planet Kirkcaldy Guidebook…

I thought Samson Lawal for Caley was actually quite good for them. Seemed quite quick on the ball but also quite small. If it’s a case of mistaken identity and we’re actually interested in him then I’d be quite happy having him as an option.
He’s a useful player I reckon.

Imagine this. A wee village team still in the Premier league and you lot doon in league 1 oof sair yin
I’m imagining the sprawling cosmopolitan expanse that is, er, Kirkcaldy.
(Hopefully it’s certain we’ll still be in the Premier league this time tomorrow )

I think every time we've played Aberdeen this season they've been "there for the taking", and have demolished us... Maybe it works the other way, too - I.e., when everyone least expects it, we suddenly take them? Probably not, but who knows?
My actual prediction for the day is every corner of Victoria Park will be rocking, when Motherwell go 2-0 up and Aberdeen 3-0 up all within the first 15 minutes. It'll be raucous, glorious... The sun will be shining.
87th minute, Aberdeen now 5-0 and still the whole stadium in party mode... But then St Johnstone pull one back.
97th minute, St Johnstone equaliser...
Problem is, I don't know how it ends...,
Yes, I think it will be a loooooong afternoon one way or another…

It’s a big jump from going out on loan and being nowhere near it to getting a chance to replace their best player.
I wouldn’t be surprised to see him get more minutes, (if they stay up) but imagine there is a decent chance he is loaned out again.
Pretty sure he’ll be loaned again.

Come on, Thistle !! Keep these plastic pitch jokers out of the Premiership.
The Premiership needs teams like Thistle that can bring a decent travelling support and create a lively atmosphere.
Finally Livingston have been flushed down the pan, and hopefully Thistle will come up at the expense of Ross County or St Johnstone.
Boo. Hiss. ‘Mon the Staggies!

County's form is so unpredictable it's really a fuctifano.
Hopefully we can pull something out of the hat here tho.

County goal was a joy to watch (rotten defending tho) but the Saints goal was schoolboy County defending. Frustrating stuff losing goals like that, particularly given the last gasp timing.

I said that at the time. Cowie might have just talked himself out of a contract. Bewildering subs.
Agree subs were baffling, really didn’t follow WTF Cowie was up to. Took all the steam from County.

I’m nervous AF. We’ve been so hit and miss this season it’s unreal. If we play like we did vs Rangers it’s a stroll, play like we did against Motherwell it’s game over. We will take nothing against Aberdeen so it’s now or never.
This.
Just as well I’m not a betting man. If I put money on predicting County’s form this season I’d be bankrupt.
I will be down in Perth cheering / crying….

DC has my support until he has had a window, he's inherited a lot of mediocracy.
That's a fair point. It's tricky judging the merits of someone of having to work with an inherited ropy squad versus someone being judged on having had a close season to build a squad.

Still not convinced DC is the man to take us forward.
I’m with you there. DC is a good egg but I can’t quite convince myself he’s the right man.

Exactly in all seriousness fair play to anyone who supports a team outside the old firm I'll always respect it. Even County fans.
This is what football should be - supporting your local team, not one of the Bigot Brothers. Loathe them both.
Rooting for Caley to stay up (even if I have to admit your current predicament is fuelling much County fan amusement). Reckon you’ll scrape it in the end.

I'd rather watch us beat a part time team 1-0 over 2 legs then get thrashed 5-1 by Motherwell at home.
County aren't exactly having a great season themselves. Sacked their racist manager after a poor start hired Derek Adams who then had a public meltdown. You going on about how crap our football is?. Dross County were playing so bad Derek threw the team & the rest of Scottish football under the bus, ruined his reputation in a matter of months that's how bad County were.
It’s true that County are having an, er, mixed season and there has been plenty soap opera, much of it embarrassing.
But…we’re not on the cusp of L1 or on the cusp of bankruptcy either.

The National is another option. And life is incomplete without a visit to our legendary Wimpy too. No end to the excitement in Dingwall.
It’s a fool’s errand trying to predict County’s form so who knows. Not underestimating Raith.
Enjoy your trip north (football result excepted).
