Again more utter nonsense about Bellshill from you management team that took over a side in danger of falling into the abiss of the 4th division now have gained them promotion to the 2nd and back to back quarter finals of the Scottish cup maybe you should look at it another way in that the Bellshill board haven’t 💩 the bed at a small dip in from and started sacking and restructuring they will be backed in the summer for a proper go at the 2nd division UP THE HILL ⚫🟡⚫🟡

Rumour has it Tony McInally getting approached he has some connections with Bellshill. Unless he’s looking for something bigger the management team might be save enough

We were surprised when one of our most creative players, Hendy,  was left out last night to accommodate the return of Sparky and that Lewis Meikle retained his place. Suspect however that Mgt knew it would be a battle on that pitch. and in the circumstances. Daryl and his team have been getting the results so no one is complaining.

I suspect we will revert to our more normal style on Saturday , having battered Greenock playing that way away only a few weeks ago.

Watched the Gow amateurs for years they used to play Sparky & Lewis a lot in big games. What I seen on that wee park wasn’t a place for the faint hearted. I don’t know Hendy but the manager called it right they won.

  3. The run the gow are on we deserve a promotion spot. I was also thinking we could maybe just catch Lanark but they have been relentless. Few of the gow supporters went to Bellshill hoping Lanark got beat. I have said on here before I think one of the Bellshill joint management will walk now I’m thinking (both). I have seen Lanark a few times this season they played completely different to what I have seen before they were very direct and difficult to break down they had a game plan. Bellshill yes had chances which when the balls getting swung in from 30 yards can happen. Im predicting a management change at Bellshill.

  4. Big week for everyone involved with the Gow need two wins from 4 to be assured promotion. Bellshill need win and a draw from last 2 games. Threave 3 wins which will give them 74 but with better goal difference. Vale slim outside chance need Lanark wins against Bellshill and Threave. The league has been very competitive and looks like going to the wire.

  5. I’m the same would like to see both up & wish Lanark luck on Wednesday. Looking at the way it could go if Threave win the Gow could need 5 wins from 6 games if Threave hit 57points with goal difference. Ideally Irvine could pull a result out the bag against Bellshill as well. One week they Vics play well and next they get hammered just don’t know which Vics team turns up.

If my maths are correct, Lanark will be promoted if they win their next two games.

Well deserved if Lanark do it 13 wins in last 14 games is good going by any standard so fair play. I’m hoping the Gow can get another win today and also keep our fine run going. Sinky has done a great job and hopefully we get the derby game next season in the 2nd Divison.

  7. Great win for the Gow last night showed a bit guts and determination. Me personally if Threave win the 5 games they will go up they will probably have better goal difference as well. As a Gow supporter I’m now wanting Lanark to keep winning and beat Threave. If they do that Bellshill & the Gow will go up with them.

It is a massive weekend; if both Finnart and Threave win that throws the cat amongst the pigeons. Looking at the fixture run in I did feel folk were too quick to write off both of them.

So many fixtures upcoming where teams play each other which will change the league placings dramatically.

Good competitive stuff at top and bottom of league.

Great win for Gow yesterday Threave are right in it they do need the Gow to get beat Wednesday off Bellshill. Vale get beat by Dalry on Wednesday then it’s a two way fight.

  9. Today game Bellshill v Threave is a massive game for both. Threave if they get beat I don’t think they will do it a draw is fine. The Gow v Bellshill & Dalry v Vale on Wednesday night we may know a bit better who’s getting that third place. I still think the Gows in pole position for 3rd they having to play Vale away. Plus we know Lanark have both Vale and Threave at Lanark how ironic if Lanark keep winning they could help the Gow go up. I think both set of fans will like the other to stay down although a good Gow v Lanark game is always tasty.

I think it ends any hope Dalry had  of making it into promotion places, although it was a long shot.

Our last game is now Irvine Vics at home on the 18th of May.

Our postponed game at home against Bellshill, now goes ahead next Wednesday 24th April, 18.45 ko.  Will be an interesting match.

Todays games massive for the Gow which we all know Wednesday is crunch for me if we get any result win preferred I think we will go up.

Another interesting aspect; is looking at the clubs the promotion contenders still have play outside of fellow contenders.

There are some potential curve balls in that bag too.

Greenock and Vics although out of contention will not be easy 3pts.

Greenock still have Lanark and Gow. Vics have Finnart and Bellshill.

Hell even some of the games against the relegation threatened clubs could be tricky.

If you take out WPU and Kello who both appear lost, you have Ardeer, Port and Girvan all fighting to be club 13.

So Ardeer have Lanark, Bellshill and Gow. Port at Bellshill. Girvan at Gow. Even, United of Shettleston aren't safe and they have VOL and Threave.

So if you look at it, dies any club have an easy run in?

    With no disrespect aimed at WPU or Kello;

Lanark have WPU out of their 7.

    VOL 4 difficult match-ups.

Finnart have Kello out of 3 left.

    Bellshill all potential hard games.

Threave Kello and WPU to finish after 4 toughies.

Gow WPU and Kello out of 8.

So here is an interesting little anecdote can Threave get through the next 4 and be in a position needing 2 wins against WPU and Kello to finish in top 3.

Here's hoping there are no more postponements and the Bellshill - Gow match can be slotted in.

Sat 11th May could be a wonderfully entertaining sunny day for the Division both promotion and relegation.

🤞it comes to be that 11/11/24 is Div 3's day of judgement.

Finnart needed to win yesterday with 3 games left that’s a max of 54 points

Anyone on 57 points I think will go up 🤷🏻‍♂️so what the rest require to get 57 or over plus max points with games left.

    Lanark 3 wins                 = 57 points    7 Games left       Max 69

    Vale 3 wins & draw      = 57 points     4 Games left       Max 59

    Bellshill 4 wins               = 58 points     7 Games left       Max 67

    Threave 6 wins             = 59 points     6 Games left       Max 59

    Gow 6 wins & draw      = 57 points     8 Games left       Max 62

If Threave or Vale get beat. Lanark and Bellshill will need to fall off a cliff not get promoted. Plus Gow got Vale & Bellshill. That’s why I think we are really taking about who’s finishing 3rd.

I question how, with 8 games still to play that Gow can be considered favourites over Finnart, who only have 3 more games.

I get that The Gow are in form but, the task facing them is far greater than that facing Finnart.

I thought Finnart could do something but my friend say they were really poor against Bellshill.  I only thing with the Gow is once the Wednesday Saturday come in we don’t have the biggest squad that could be an issue. On the flip side if Lanark can keep there form going that could also help us.

Another league that is shaping up nicely as we head towards the end of the season. Is there any reason why some PP games haven't been rearranged yet?

I was thinking the same The Gow v Bellshill will be a big game. I would like to know what’s happening with this for example also players have to arrange work plans etc so as much notice as possible is only fair.

  14. Great win for the Gow today that’s all that matters 3 points. Finnart are out it for me. Threave another massive game against Bellshill next week. Dalry too much to do. I think it’s Bellshill or Lanark and the Gow are now favourites for 3rd. It’s Squeaky bum time as Fergie used to say.

  15. Massive games today in the 3rd Divison for Threave & Finnart. If either of them get beat it’s curtains for promotion for another season leaving it a straight fight between The Gow, Vale, Bellshill & Lanark for the 3 promotion places. Although if Finnart win today I think they could go up they would have Kello away, Threave at home and the Vics away that’s achievable for 57 points tough too beat for 3rd place with everyone playing each other.

The Ashfield Gaffer came from Harestanes.

Kennedy at St Rochs from West Park.

Hopes at Drumchapel from Possil YM.

Obviously Mick at Darvel and now EK.

    Daryl at Lanark.

They've all had differing levels of success but successful in their own right.

    Yes all done well.

Going to be a very exciting end to the season. We've essentially got 5 cup finals to play between now and mid May. I'd say if we can take 12 points we'll be in with a great shout of promotion, but that will be no easy task with a lot of tough games still to play.

If you take 12 points your up. Massive game for you against Threave because if they get beat there season is over. Personally I think it’s going to come down to Vale v The Gow winner takes 3rd spot. I’m confident the Gow could do it.

Finnart are in the same position as threave get beat at Bellshill it’s all over for another season.

Think the hardest game out of the 3 will be Dalry, don't think Ardeer have anything to offer a sim sure they are safe and will just plod along, the West park game, I think they are better technically than Lanark, especially on the astro but no experience and not hard enough in a battle so I think Lanark will deffo take 6 points out of 9, the Dalry game, I'm not so sure, they are strong but have been up and down all season

I got a good laugh at this one, West Park are technically better than Lanark. The rest of us must be total 💩
