  1. Bonnyrigg 1-1 Forfar Elgin 3-1 Edinburgh Peterhead 4-1 Clyde (predicting wins isn't working so have to try this) Spartans 2-2 east Fife Stranraer 0-1 Stirling.
  2. Didn't manage along today but after seeing the red card, I actually felt worse about our chances. Have seen no indication at all that we are capable of breaking anyone down. Least McCall actually done an interview this week but it wasn't inspiring. I'm inclined to say it would be a good time to change things if we can afford it. Peterhead next week would be somewhat of a free hit (even though I despise that saying) for a new man and then there's a decent run of games. Hard to know if we could do any better though! I suspect Darren Young won't be available for ages and has a good track record in this league. Pretty sure he's local too. Outside of that, I don't know who I'd rather bring in. Allan Johnstone maybe but you'd risk another full time gaffer with bigger expectations.
  3. Don't think I'll manage along today due to this turning into a bit of a hectic weekend so chances are we will finally come good. I'd basically echo the above about Leslie and McDonald. Think Leslie can definitely offer something mind you. Even when he was less favoured last year, he had one cracking assist off the bench if I recall right. McDonald is always likely to score a few but I can't ever recall him taking two touches. Always either a first time pass or a shot. He looked younger and smaller every time he got on for us too.

  5. Sure they'd be delighted to take back the wage bill of an out of form league 2 striker when they are sitting top of the championship and that money could be used to strengthen in January if they are still flying high.
  6. I'm actually looking forward to this on Saturday. Miss club football on international breaks. Edinburgh on relatively good form and can be happy with their showing at the VIP box with a stand attached on Saturday. Absolutely no idea how this will go but will be nice to see some posts about football on here again, even if it is taking the piss out of us. If Hamilton is back at right back, I may well turn the car round mind you.

  8. Agree with virtually all of this. Scullion I think is acceptable on the right but never the left. Also on past seasons Houston starts every week but he's really struggled for us so far! Hope that sorts itself out soon whenever he is back!
  9. Weekly musing. Since he signed, and bear in mind when he first joined we were a shambles, I make it (only counting league games): CB Games: 20 W: 9 D : 6 L: 5 GC: 22 GC per game: 1.1 RB Games: 4 W:0 D:1 L:3 GC: 9 GC per game: 2.25
  10. Been holding back posting as I'm not even sure how I feel about the situation. McCall had some really poor results right up until and even after concluding our business in February last season. Two games prior to this, there have been mitigating circumstances in the game that have been excusable. Stirling was just one of those days and the red card that turned the game last week is hard to account for. This is whilst acknowledging many mistakes they weeks too. Yesterday we really the first result where there were zero excuses. It's the first game I couldn't make this season so only going from the highlights/other comments but the manner of the loss has put mountains of pressure on the next game. The result coming before the break can go a couple of ways, 2 weeks to mull on the horsing or two weeks to recover and get ready for a make or break run for McCall. The manner of the defeat I think leaves not getting a performance in the Edinburgh game having the vast majority of fans wanting him out, even if we win. But 3 weeks with only a game against Edinburgh is a real chance to reset and get our shite together. I'm not McCall out yet but the nature of that yesterday has pushed me way closer than I thought I'd be today.
  11. Edinburgh game after the break looking like a real relegation 6 pointer just now. Seems another weird selection today too. Doherty thrown in and Allan left out against probably the slowest centre backs in the league. I won't mention Hamilton again due to Hynes injury but that is still annoying me.
  12. Agree with most of this! I think it would be harsh to drop Scullion mind you. Got his goal on Saturday and had a decent enough first half on the right. Looked poor after going down to 10 but who didn't other than the two you mention? Think his engine will get him a start.
  13. Bonnyrigg 1-1 Stranraer East Fife 1-3 Clyde (if I type it, it will happen right?) Edinburgh 1-3 Peterhead Forfar 0-0 Elgin Stirling 1-1 Spartans
  14. My only caveat to this is that both goals come from failings in the middle of defence dealing with problems in the box. His decision to take out our best player at dealing with stuff like that and have him out wide probably causes this to an extent. Yesterday was wildly frustrating as we have 2 excellent chances to extend our lead and the game is out of sight as bonnyrigg looked really poor. The red may not have been a red but I turned to my brother right after Dunachie was booked and said he should have been hooked immediately (not even sure if the ball went out again between the two bookings fwiw). He will concede loads of fouls that aren't fouls down to his size and whilst that's not his, or our fault, it will be the same all season so we need to legislate for that going forward.
