  1. I'm not going to raise expectations unrealistically, I was just pointing out that fitness levels in the HW squad are higher than most might expect in that league. "Bairney" has drawn a lot of attention as one of the stand out players in a good, well-coached, squad. A good amount of skill and pace and the kind of vision that spots chances that other players might not. That cup final was a slog in horrible conditions. The crowd was knackered by full time, let alone the players!
  2. I wouldn't worry about fitness. The HWUFC scholarship programme has those lads training as thoroughly as full time pros and they are, on average, miles ahead of other teams in that league. I'd forgive a lad who's run his socks off for 85+ minutes in a cup final if he wants to stop running and admire the end product of when he outstripped the defence and laid on an inch perfect pass.
  3. The number 10 who was clattered by your knuckle draggers in defence? You think that's amateur dramatics? You're well suited to following that bunch of cloggers.
