  1. You forgot Jack Hendry who is ahead of McKenna, Cooper and Soutter. Not many times he has been left out by Clarke either.
  2. Josh Laws seems to have nailed down down a starting slot at Grasshoppers Zurich this season. I'm sure he used to be a left back but seems to have moved into a left sided centre back position, albeit Grasshoppers seem to be struggling a bit this season so far. I recall Laws being involved in the youth squads yonks ago when at F.Dusseldorf
  3. Valentin Barco, the Boca Juniors left back.
  4. As a non Queens fan, how are your finances in general? Are you struggling to maintain? Plenty money in the bank? Much debts? Could part time status be forced or can you run comfortably for a few more seasons at this level?
  5. It was always going to be more evident once the early form slowed down, but does anyone else feel like everything at the club is just a bit flat at the moment? I suspect there is clearly some good stuff going on behind the scenes but aside from the McGeachie testimonial stuff (and I think they had a separate team leading it) there is once again nothing really happening. I think I have had one email from the trust since May - and that was a volunteer call on behalf of the club. Aren't they having meetings anymore? They used to tell us everything going on and then it just stopped? Brian Hamilton left a month ago and as far as I can see there has been absolutely zero communication on who is running the club, a replacement, a process or anything? The website remains appalling and has no updates. Now I can't claim to be a website expert but I have set up a few basic sites with e-shops in my time and whilst we obviously want a good website and not a half arsed job. It should take a few days to set something up, appears to have been about two years. Something, or anything might be more fit for purpose than what we have at the moment. I sometimes see stuff being updated on the social media channels, news items, community updates, hospitality announcements etc but none of that is ever put on the website. There is precisely zero incentive for anyone to ever click on our website. Maybe it's down to workload, prioirities, volunteers or skillsets etc but just seems odd that we don't update the site we have with information that someone is obviously supplying. On the pitch, we are still in an excellent position thanks to our first quarter results, yes there are worrying times, especially with our strikers form but on the whole I think all the supporters are firmly behind Darren and the players and they have earnt the goodwill and trust they will receive from the fans until the end of the season. On another note, do we deliberately not show highlights or manager interviews after a defeat? It may be a coincidence but something I noticed a while back? I may be imagining things. This will be seen as a negative post, and maybe it has ended up that way, although it's not intended to be. I think on the whole supporters recognise the position we are in now compared to where we were and are very happy but I can't ignore a feeling of total flatness lately in terms of buzz around the club, fan engagement and interest and wondered if I was alone in that? Maybe it was always going to happen after the hype of promotion died down.
  6. How many home fans were there today? And how much have crowds dropped in the last few seasons?
  7. Is there any truth to the rumours of a tie in/takeover by Fulham?
  8. The official France Supporters Club have issued a statement to their supporters stating that each association will be given an average of 9500 tickets per match. Assuming correct then that would mean for us (based on updated ssc table today) that all 12 pointers and above would be guaranteed tickets and pretty much guaranteed that 11 pointers are guaranteed tickets as well. I would even go as far as saying 10 pointers stand an excellent chance at getting tickets That is great news (if accurate)
  9. Me and a fellow Pie and Bover have started a new Whatsapp Channel where every Friday we review a bunch of new album releases and then score them out of ten. We usually pick a bunch a mix of mainstream stuff as well as some totally random or unknown stuff to us. If you like discovering new albums or new music in general, would appreciate any follows for our channel. (It's not a whatsapp group don't worry, it's more like a blog style feed on whatsapp) https://whatsapp.com/channel/0029VaCUdDb1iUxfts040d07
  10. Can we start listing things more exciting than listening to Kevin Thomson? Best suggestion/most greenies gets a tenner donated to charity of choosing
  11. That was the most monotone commentator response to a scotland goal I have ever heard. Get Kevin Thomson in the fucking bin
  12. ........................................Gunn....................................... ................Hendry.....Porteous.....Cooper........... Patterson.........................................................Taylor ...........................Gilmour........McGregor................ ..................McTominay....................McGinn............ ........................................Adams...................................... I suspect we may line up something like that. I think Gilmour, Adams and Cooper will come in for Christie, Dykes and McKenna. Three voluntary changes without massively weakening us and all regular squad players that are important to Steve Clarke. Wing backs also changed obviously but both enforced and we don't really have any other options unless we go to 4 at the back. Lewis Ferguson and Jacob Brown are the only other two players that I would like to get extended runs out at some point. Maybe at least 30 minutes.
  13. Assuming all the above are fit and on the plane, I think he definitely gives a spot to Liam Cooper and/or Greg Taylor. Clarke has shown and demonstrated how much he values squad morale and loyalty and these two players have made the squads more often than not when available (yet often never played) - no way he cuts them from the tournament squad. Ralston/Soutter/Hyam/Doig/Ramsey etc have only ever really been in squads as replacements or when others haven't really been available. They will remain in this role now and step up into tournament squad if injuries, but not ahead of Cooper and Taylor. Up front is different because of our obvious lack of options and quality there. I haven't checked squads but I think Nisbet has been there more often than not. Dykes, Adams and Nisbet I would say were on the plane. I genuinely think there is an option for someone on great form to force their way in, even a new player. Whether that's Doak, Barnes or someone like a Tommy Conway. If someone new starts banging in the goals, I think Shankland and/or Brown should be worried of their place.
  14. I think the starting team will be as close to full strength as we can get. Clarke has indicated a few times now that the reason he wanted the England and France games were to test ourselves against those much better nations - wouldn't make much sense to then play a weakened team.
  15. I'm not sure it was intentional. I have quite enjoyed Viaplays Scotland coverage since they had the games
  16. Dropping McTominay back to a more defensive role is a bold move on current form
  17. Have just watched the goal highlights, good build up from us and a nice finish from McGregor. Ewan Wilson looks to be back useful signing. If I was a Queens fan, I would be livid with that defending. Not a single player even attempted a tackle at any point in the build up, number 8 (I think) particularly shitebagging.
  18. Murray Miller any good lads? Just signed for us. What sort of player can we expect? Most of what I have read seems to be positive
  19. I have yet to see him play for Luton but did see him a few times for Stoke, he is an intelligent player in terms of making runs, holding ball up and running into channels. Much more of a similar player to Adams than a traditional number 9. Always trying to smash the ball in from distance and sometimes tries to over complicate things but there is a player in there - no issue with him being in the squad.
  20. This is excellent on about three different levels
  21. Exactly what I wanted to hear. Thanks very much!
