    EVERYBODY wanted Bullen to do well, but he didn’t. He wasn’t hounded out - he just wasn’t good enough. So those that are making out he was some kind of visionary or legend for what he did at Ayr United - he was always going to be judged on results on the park, regardless of how much of a gentleman he was off it.

    Ok, so he left us when Partick batted their eyelashes at him, but this! This is a sensible move, it makes sense, you can see where this could go, you can see the logic in it. I wish we had them right now. If he brings in the farmer, Moff or Sir Andy Geggan I think I might just spontaneously combust!

    To this day I’m still taken aback that we’ve had no one from Sheffield Wednesday where he was so highly respected!
