  1. My first Rovers strip and still my favourite. I reckon a modernised version of this would go down well... 1986/87 pinstripe.
  2. The wee man comes home and away with me now. We considered taking them but it was almost doubling the prices. We could probably get to Spain on the cost and it'd take half the time that going up to Wick does! I might just drive so I can leave early on Saturday, stay over and then leave early on Sunday.
  3. My wife found a wee deal where the trains were costing just £60 return for both of us on the East Coast website. I'm dead keen on going but the only thing putting me off at the moment is having to travel up on the Friday and not get back until Sunday night. That'd be a whole weekend away from the kids more or less which I'm not keen on. Don't see them enough as it is without that.
  4. I've just been checking hotel prices and train prices.Hotel prices are very reasonable but the train prices I'm finding are ludicrous. Are you using some form of railcard for those prices? I might just drive, get smashed at night with fellow Rovers, kip in a hotel and head back down on the Sunday morning. Google maps reckon its a drive of just over 5 hrs.
  5. I'll be posting out letters to members regarding this situation but I'll post it here and on FanTalk for convenience...
  6. Football - One of the greatest things in the world.Football films - One of the shittest things in the world.
  7. See if Davo was a millionaire and didn't really need the money I'd maybe be a wee bit miffed that he didn't stay loyal to the Rovers. This isn't the case. The player has a life to think of and he'll make more money and probably have a better chance of career progression at Dundee. Football is simply a job and the vast majority of people would accept better terms if it was handed to them on a plate. I'd like to see young Callaghan get a run in the midfield.
  8. Did you come up with that by yourself or did you consult a secret gang of comedy superheroes for assistance like the brilliance of it would indicate?
  9. Skagboys. Brilliantly enjoyable book which basically documents how all of our favourite characters from Trainspotting came to be the f**k-ups that they are. Welsh's characters always feel like real people. I'm not sure if that's to do with his writing skills or the probability that a lot of us grew up around characters like the ones in his books. Great read. Would highly recommend.
  10. I had a dream last night that my missus was being cowped by some old, ugly fucker. I was pretty put out to be honest. I'm also near the end of Skagboys and find some of the more schemie words from the book that I'd have used when I was younger are creeping back into my lexicon. This doesn't bode well for my well to do pretence when talking to the genuinely well to do.
  11. I know it's the rambling of a happy clapper but things really were tight between ourselves and the other teams last season, Livi aside. I'm very happy with the way things are shaping up at the moment. Hopefully McGlynn will have a few loanee aces up his sleeve to supplement what already looks like a decent squad.
  12. I was down at Starks on Thursday and was told that Davo is currently on holiday and that they're hoping for a positive response from him when he gets back. I think the club will go down the loanee route for two wingers and a third striker. Might see Hammill moved inside this season where he's probably more comfortable if Davo and Walker find deals elsewhere.
  13. Lassie on the right having a good smell of her fingers. Hmmm...
  14. I had a dream last night that Johnny Russell had signed for Celtic and that Stark's Park had a secret underground passage that took you to Saudi Arabia.
  15. Morton fans... Celtic v Morton classic archive highlights on ITV4 at 8am. Sky channel 120 HD.
  16. I'd have a guess at it being Monday on the chance that we ended up in the playoffs.
  17. There's bound to be a famous P&B catchphrase that we can use as a hashtag?...
  18. Saying in the paper today that he'll speak to the players who have been offered deals at the weekend to see what their thought are and hopefully push things on a bit. We should have a clearer indication of who stays and who goes by the beginning of next week.
  19. This didn't get anywhere near the credit that it should have.
  20. For 90 minutes solid because I'm dedicated! I think on that occasion I'd put my sensible head on and try and guilt-trip him to tears.
  21. We knew that at the time didn't we? Rangers had a rep present at the meetings and I'd be very surprised if he didn't tell McCoist who the committee were. McCoist wanted the people outed through sheer devilment, nothing else. It's an absolute disgrace that this has conveniently been painted over and that McCoist or Rangers haven't been made to be accountable for his actions. He has a legend to protect. If that means that he endangers other people's life whilst in the process of pandering to the RFC supporting neanderthals then so be it, so it would seem. Terrible conduct. I hope we can get his shitey Newco in a cup at home so I can tell him exactly what I think of him.
