Cheers for that. Interesting read. Did you make the football?
Loved the food in Macedonia, only visited Skopje though so maybe a trip to Ohrid next time.

The unofficial QoS pageTo what? Who have you asked?

KBT Pharmacy is the sponsor
Arla the back of the shirt and The Shed the shorts
Any more news on this? Looks like my British Heart Foundation entry won the Executive Club Membership after a re-draw. That is unless someone else had named them too as their company.
No contact as yet and I'll have to speak to my aunt to see if they'll accept the prize. Might be bureaucratic stuff I suppose.
Anyway cool of Mr Rae to put the prize back in the pot. Will buy him a pint or 2
No response on fb so far

I'm sure I asked this last year but which stand is which? Is the Gates stand the Main Stand?

Well looking at the accounts for last season, we seem to be in decent financial shape. Well done to those that waived their loans, very fine gestures.

Which is the main stand? Rosefield Salvage? Just to be sure

Was looking forward to trips to Forfar and Arbroath the next two weeks
Very little chance of going to a midweek away game.

It would be interesting to know how many shares the three charlatans who shamed our club actually have.
Less than half of the number Davie Rae holds put together.

Well the BoD have shown more transparency than I was expecting. While there does seem to be quite a bit of glossing over, their anger at being put in the situation in the first place is something I completely agree with. I also feel there will be more twists and turns on the way too before the new season kicks off.
The current board were applauded recently for maintaining full time football well before this vote was mooted but will have to work even harder now to dig themselves out of this hole.
While I disagree with the decision, and tip my hat to Stranraer on their stand , at least there should be harmony between our ex Rangers’ player-manager, assistant and the BoD even if it has alienated a section of the support.

He was on Border tv the other night ,must be same interview he basically muttered a few words. The Annan chairman was spot on when he was interviewed .Also agreed with what he said today in the paper "if it was Killie or S tMirren the fixtures would be out and we wouldnt even be disscussing this " .
Tommorow will determine if I buy a season ticket or not.
Agree with your view on the Annan statement. I've spoken to him at a few Scotland away games, really nice chap. Wish QoS could have the same transparency but I think they're hoping the vote remains behind closed doors. it's going to be a long day.

I wrote a bit for the Queens fanzines mentioned . Were they amateurish ? Yes. Was the spelling and punctuation rubbish ? most probably. Were they hard work to produce and written by real diehards ? Oh, definitely . Raw is the best description of this zine ------- I have to say that our fanzine was representitive of a very dark period in our clubs history . Some people might not be pleased about what is happening presently but it is utopian to what was going on in the early nineties . We even had an incident where the club failed to tell the travelling fans that a kick off at East Stirling had been brought forward to 2 pm. I and 150 others arrived with the first half already over . When pressed on the matter , the then secretary Doreen Alcorn said something along the lines of it wasn't our responsibility to inform the fans and they should have phoned Palmerston themselves . This for a normal Saturday afternoon game . Yes , that did really happen and shows the kind of feeling around then. ps sure we were winning at half time through McGuire ( the goal hardly anyone saw , if any ) but got beat 2-1.
You missed entertaining, masochistic and very much needed. Discerning voices were not allowed to the point supporters meetings had to be held in the Emerald Park rather than Palmerston. At least Ally Mcleod was honest with the fans in his Q&A session.
As for next year it looks like a decent squad is being assembled rather than the last minute panic of fitting square pegs into round holes that seems to have become common practice.

Just been reading the thread on the First Division board about fanzines and it got me thinking about 'A Nightmare on Terregles Street' and 'The Alternative Queens Speech'. Does anyone still have copies? I don't suppose they are available to view online anywhere?
I've probably got them kicking about at my parents house. Not sure when I'll next be there though. Would a 20th (ish?) anniversary edition be too much to hope for?

I'll repeat what I said on the "new manager" thread. Pleased with this, bit of a leap into the unknown but hopefully it'll work out. Am also pleased that the Board moved quickly thus allowing Magic a few months to sort out a good squad for next season.
My thoughts exactly. The youngsters should get more appearances as it is probably a better level for them to step up and not be completely overwhelmed. Just need Elgin to get promoted for an extra couple of awaydays.

Don't know who it was against but it would be early 80's got stuffed about 6 or 7-1. I think. Alan Ball in goal. Looking at the table my guess would be 82-83.

The shirt draw tickets went in the post earlier this week I think.
Cheers, cutting it tight. Probably arrived today

I've put abit of topside on, 6 hours at low should be enough shouldn't it?
And was it? It should have been. Anyway should it not always be the low setting that's used?

My first slow cooker failure..........gutted
We had ours recently too, chicken curry. Chicken was perfect but the sauce was boggin'. Ended up just lobbing in loads of curry powder at the end to make it taste edible for that nights meal. The rest went in the bin
Will try a Jalfrezi next time.

Still in hong kong working, with another 7 days to go.
All this talk about stovies is making me homesick
There's stovies on the canteen menu for tomorrow
Slow cooker is going to be on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Will be making a chicked moussaka one day and beef olives the next.

So are we allowed to start getting our hopes up?
Had us down for relegation battle before the return of the Dobes. Exceeding expectations now though
