The one I had was a thermal one which kept the coffee piping hot however the replacement is crap. I don't really have any 'serious' ties here so I would be more than likely making the move solo. My question is has anyone here just upped and moved a fair distance away by themselves? Well, I say by myself, I left alone but I was always going to places where I knew some other people so I didn't have a lot of the problems associated with a major move. Portsmouth as a place isn't too bad. It's a few years since I was there, and of course it has it's shite areas as well as good ones but that's no different to anywhere else. It's fairly well connected by road too, so it's easy to get into and out of. My only advice would be that if you're doing it alone, make sure you have a fallback option at home in case it doesn't work out, like a family member who would take you in if you decide it's not for you, that sort of thing.
