Andy Dufresne
What are the consequences (in terms of the law) if a learner motorbike rider is caught taking a passenger, and said passenger has no helmet? (*insert penis joke here*) Goodbye Licence and goodbye bike.
Fraser Fyvie
Goodbye Licence and goodbye bike. So nothing for the passenger ?
stimpy
So nothing for the passenger ? Probably not, the rider should have refused to take the passenger and there is no way round that. It's the riders responsibility to make sure everything is squared away and legal before moving off, if they had refused to move then no law would have been broken.
Andy Dufresne
So nothing for the passenger ? It is a £30 fixed penalty with no penalty points.
chico
I'm 37 and have within arms reach the complete judge dredd apocalypse wars, volume six of Akira and three 2000ad's from 1989 with chopper in supersurf 11. So in short, yes. Seriously though, what ever tickles your bits, it's your money spend it on what you like. Can you get the Apoclypse Wars in one graphic novel? Brilliant story line. I have Titans of ABC warriors, Rogue Trooper and Strontium Dog from back in the late 80's. Prized possesions.
McKee
Anyone got any suggestions of movies in which American upper class culture is a main theme? I'm looking for good, edgy movies here, so no shite like Revolutionary Road please. American Psycho has made me hunger for these types of movies.

Bonfire of the Vanities comes to mind, though the book was much better than the film.

Apocalypse wars must be out of print because they are going for £80 on amazon, my copy was £30 odd second hand. Think necropolis is the same.

Fuctifano
Lidl lasagne. Best to cook the lot, and cut up individual portions to freeze and store or cut it up beforehand and cook separately? Swampy
How quickly could I conceivably have a physical letter sent to the west coast of the USA? Assuming both you and the recipient are in metropolitan areas, you're using the regular postal service (as opposed to UPS, FedEx and the like) and you're willing to pay significant sums (in the £20 range for a small, normal, one-ounce letter), six days or a week. Send via FedEx or UPS (and pay their fees) and you could have it there in 48 hours or even less. You could get it in less than 3 days. I've done it before. But it's really down to luck: how quickly it gets through customs, ensuring all the flights go your way etc...
Swampy
FedEx International First is the "oh shit" service to use here. Although I just Googled it and there's one called FedEx International Next Flight. I suppose their next innovation will be FedEx International We'll Charter A Plane For Your Package.
