Ric
On FiveLive when asked about Sven's comment that he may play 3 strikers (Owen, Dafoe, Rooney) against Wales, Craig Brown was asked... Q: "Would you play the 3 up front?" A: "Yes, yes I would..." Right, when was the last time (if ever) "wee Craigee" has played 3 strikers on the field? I am not meaning in the last 5 minutes in a desparate bid to grab a draw (although even then I don't remember this happening). This can be in a friendly or a competitive match. Anyone... ? Neilly
In his last game for Preston, he started with Cresswell, Healy and Lynch up front
Ric
I was actually meaning Scotland game, but fair play I would of been equally surprised if he had done it for a club side. "Last game" you say? Interesting...
Savage Henry
I'm going to say pretty damned near the end of his career. I seem to remember McCann on the left of a three with Dickov in the middle and A.N Other on the right, but I may be wrong.
bluetooner
Possibly Alan Johnston, but cant remember either. However, maybe he would have done it had he had the likes of Owen, Defoe and Rooney.
ggr
When was the last time Scotland had 3 good strikers to choose from?
Tormod Macleod
I fail to believe that it ever happened. And if you're including McCann or Alan Johnston in this then they're both wingers and don't count. He possibly played 6 centre backs and 3 full backs but never 3 strikers. Unless he played Don Hutchison in midfield.
