Anyone got any culinary presents lined up for christmas, or plans for anything in the coming year?

I think I'm going to get something from these guys next year. I'm also looking for a mandolin.

I'm getting some brewing gear to considerably up my game (hopefully), and she alluded to something for the kitchen the other day which hasn't yet been revealed to me. Possibly some books

What's the Mrs having?

Along with extra flat breads and a tub of spicy rice, it was more than enough for the both of us. The guy at the takeaway says it feeds 3-4, but that’s pushing it.

Bought a few things in an 'American Candy' shop in town. Up second : Flamin Hot crunchy cheetos. Very nice. Good level of heat, too.

Exceptionally expensive though at £2 a bag.

First up was the real robbery though. £1.69 for a salted caramel milky way bar. It was a Mars bar in a different wrapper.

When I was in Cambodia I tried some pigs brains at a food market. They were quite creamy in taste but you obviously were aware what you were eating. This is strange given some of the other things we eat without any adverse thoughts.   If you fancy them then give them a try.

I have never seen them in my butcher's but might ask and see if anyone buys then. Also saw this recipe.
