I didn't dislike any of them. I just felt they were rattled in at a bit of a pace and not being a particular wine buff, it wasn't needed. I was borderline steaming by the end of the meal.

I made sure Mrs Mathematics took the pairing too, as she doesn’t like red, so I got to double up.

Perhaps an unpopular opinion but I thought they were all cheap shite. Had them twice and didn't enjoy it

Homemade chilli, in an attempt to smoke out the heavy cold I've had all week.

I'm so bunged up I could hardly taste anything, but given that the usually spice-tolerant current future Mrs Connolly has just tapped out after 3 mouthfuls (steady Kenneth), tomorrow morning, I should be on the road to recovery. And probably requiring a toilet roll that has been stored overnight in the fridge.

Got a new slow cooker chili recipe, trying it tomorrow. Got the braising steak ready.

Made this ramen the other night. Soy/miso broth, crispy chicken and udon noodles. Marinated the egg in soy and mirin for the first time and it was a huge success, will marinate them for longer next time to intensify the flavour. Still got some broth in the freezer, so will be able to have a repeat soon.
