Le Tout P'ti FC
A good day out. First half was a bit slow to get going, but the two goals in a minute fired it up. The wee man joined me for the last 15 minutes, seemed to enjoy it.
Le Tout P'ti FC
Season finale looms. Cup final next weekend has 1st v 2nd and should be some game. Top of National League looks very tight and Kilmallie go to GMA in a fortnight - winner takes all? (Or do both go up this year I can't remember!)
invergowrie arab
Unfortunately for a Skye fan it's 2 up 2 down.
Le Tout P'ti FC
Heading north on the train. Have the coveted seat between the loo and the boring men boring on about their boring coupon. 25 minutes chat so far about how somebody won £13.75 because Whitburn came in. Give me strength. Can this coupon chat be sustained for four hours more?
invergowrie arab
Think Oban could come back into this but needs to stick up top a bit more. Decent crowd too.

invergowrie arab
Enjoyed the day but a pretty meh game TBH. Don't remember newtomore keeper having much to save mind you nor did Obans.
Le Tout P'ti FC
Happy New Season!Up the A82 in my semi-submersible to Spean Bridge, chiefly to observe the new season tradition and answer the big question - what hair do does the Innes McD sport this year? (Not the fully fledged jaggy bush of years gone by.)Half time here and it's 2-0 to Kyles. They took the lead from a retaken penalty, the Lochaber keeper having escaped lightly with a yellow card and 120 hours community service for bayoneting Roddy McD.No sausage rolls.Lochaber started well but Kyles are pulling clear now. Decent game considering the awful weather.
Le Tout P'ti FC
New ground for me today: the delightful wee town of Cannich to see Strathglass. I couldn't have placed Cannich on a map until today. Brilliant trip.I'd feared Ballachulish would take a bit of a pasting but they made a real game of it, hitting the bar and keeping Strathglass out until 40 mins. They lost a second quickly which kind of killed the game.Anyway Strathglass looked decent up front, great park there, very decent pie shop. Friendly locals apart from the maniac on the single track road who didn't quite get the concept of a passing place.Strathglass go on to play Kilmory at home in the last 16, so both teams must fancy their chances of a cup run.Another grand day out!
Le Tout P'ti FC
Shinty in Edinburgh this weekend as part of the Meadows Festival:http://www.shinty.com/news/2017/05/shinty-part-of-the-meadows-festival/I'll be there. Hopefully I can find a better view of the pitch than I had over at Inveraray last weekend...
Le Tout P'ti FC
Tayforth 1 Aberdour 1Credit to the organisers of the Meadows Festival and the Camanachd Association for the event today. There was a very decent crowd for the game, and both teams played well on the day.I was thinking what a great venue the Meadows would make for say a Celtic Society final one day.
invergowrie arab
First camanachd semi today. Looks like a good match. Took in the Oban Kyles game a few weeks ago. That's 3 games I have watched Camanachd play and yet to seem them score. I like to see Oban do well as they bring a big crowd to the final. Obviously my focus on the second one. Tough ask for Skye to take on Newtonmore but an oban v Skye final would be a great occasion. League is looking the best it has in years. Would love to see Kinlochshiel go on and do it.
Le Tout P'ti FC
Oh no. Up in Oban for the Macaulay Final. Forgot the announcer / tannoy man gives a running commentary of pithy wee observations. "There's a good clearance." "That wee rain shower has passed." "Donald Trump is a..." (One of those is a request if he's reading.)
Le Tout P'ti FC
5-2 to Kyles and time for plenty more. First time I've seen Newtonmore this season. Quite a transformation. Feels like a proper change of the guard today.(And as I type it goes to 5-3!)
Le Tout P'ti FC
Kinlochshiel on verge of league title. Incredible! Cup Final in Inverness next week and them off to Oban to see league decider week after - two big games to look forward to.Skye promoted, Caberfeidh sweating on results elsewhere to go up with them.Quite the season!A wee Hugh Dan event coming in Edinburgh for anyone with a passing interest and the ability to bunk off of an afternoon: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/broadcasting-mingles-with-the-air-of-the-glens-tickets-37656071323
invergowrie arab
Looking forward to this today. Think it's a game too far for Newtonmore and nothing against them but is god to see other teams in abut the trophies. I wonder if they are n the wane in general. Kinlochshiel winning title would be well deserved as they were excellent last year too and shows any club in the country it can be done.
Le Tout P'ti FC
This has went from keek to classic. First half was one sided, then Lovat turned good all of a sudden.Enjoyed the second half thoroughly, think Newtonmore deserved the win.
invergowrie arab
Good game. Bit of niggle and some fine goals. Same as game against Skye 'more look fitter than their opponents. 15 minutes to go in a final and Lovat couldn't get the ball to stick in Newtonmore half. 3-2 probably flattered Lovat in end.
afca32
Watched a bit of this afternoon, first time watching shinty in a while. Quite fancy going to a game at some point, will definitely look into it.
