Many years ago I won a competition in a national newspaper. Prize was £10,000. Unfortunately 32 other people also got the correct answer so I only ended up with £303.33. Young bit of stuff sitting down a few tables in front, with one of her pals. Exchanged a couple of smiles and a wee bit of eye contact, then the next time I look up her pal is staring straight at me clearly trying to get a swatch of whoever her pal is eyeing up. Either that or trying to decide if she needed to dig out the pepper spray.
