It’s a a strange thing that whilst racism and homophobia is almost universally frowned on these days sexism is still seen as acceptable.

I’m probably guilty of it myself on occasion but in an ironic way.

Ageism is still acceptable too you old b*****d.

Gingerism too

So if you're an old, ginger, female poster you're being discriminated from all directions.

Although you could be someone's secret fantasy...

Much like firing insults at anyone who has a faith.

Is it not a reference to if you would like to pump someone. It's probably just me, but I find stuff like that a bit dated. Like builders wolf-whistling at passing women.

Same with the term burd, which I wince at everytime I read it. Belongs in the 1970s to me.

Probably a personal gripe.

You're looking at it from the wrong angle. The joke is on the poster of "wid". The object is either completely unattainable or is simply used to illustrate the posters desperation, or indeed deprivation.

Similarly,  Burdz, as in McAvennie type jokes. They are definitely shite, but the joke is on the McAvennie character.

Is there anything else you'd like to suck the life out of?

Can anyone who has a better eye than I tell me what these hallmarks are?

I can make out 925; which indicates it’s relatively high content silver, but the rest? No luck.

Looks like BLBUE, then a lion, then 925, then something (a snake or owl maybe?) then a big V.

Lion Passant = Sterling Silver

925 = 9 ct

The stamped letters at the start are the makers stamp I think.

The 'V' at the end is the date/year of manufacture. Perhaps 2020.

Can't make out the Assay Office mark. Without an Assay stamp there is no guarantee of silver content.
