mizfit
I told my work colleagues who are buzzing to see it on Saturday night with their boyfriends to save time and money by watching bondage porn online. That did not go down well, especially when someone told me "it's not like that".
Swarley
It's meant to be utter shite, I wouldn't worry about it.Would be an interesting choice for a first date though!Edit to add: that wasn't an invite btw. sjc
And you couldn't be further from the truth by the way. My bursary was dependant on me participating in extra-curricular activities (rugby) and achieving a high standard of performance in my studies; my dad made it clear that I had to work my arse off to stay there, like he had to work his ass off to pay the discounted fees. Very rarely you get full fee bursaries. A lot of the people in my year were in the same position as me; grafters. Their parents were quite well off, yeah, but not so much where they could just 10/11 grand a year down the drain. You'll find people in grove have wealthier parents than those who go to DHS. A guy a my work knows a teacher at Fettes that waa telling him about a 13yo pupil that gets £500 a month "pocket money"! The wee cnut has more disposable income than me at the moment!
RandomGuy.
Tbf, if the car expenditure extends your saving time by even a month, then what may seem like 'just a £500 car' could effectively become a £1100 car if you happen to be pissing away £600pm on rent at the moment. I've literally no idea what this means. Whoa there RG - you are clearly doing something wrong. The first rule a girlfriend has to abide by is "Yes Sir, No Sir, three bags full, Sir" PS This rule is reversed when she becomes Mrs RG. If only it worked this way, we've been together years, and I made the mistake of backing down in an argument over plate to use once, so it seems like the whole thing turns once you back down the first time. FWIW I likely will still get the car, but I'll just be sleeping in it for a few days.

The boyfriends probably won't even mind it as they'll know they're 100 percent guaranteed their hole and they're also getting to see a dodgy soft porn in the process. I'll no be forced along, 1st year in 4 that I'm birdless/won't be buying anything. MOTD and a takeaway for me knowing that there'll be many other lads out there who've spent a fortune this year and are gutted about it. Wonder what other PnBers are getting upto. How many proposals are we going to see?!
Spain
I've literally no idea what this means. He means that by buying the car, you're setting back your saving for a deposit and delaying getting out of the black hole that is renting. So if buying the car delays your moving out for another month, it's in essence also costing you that months rent.

How many proposals are we going to see?! I'm definitely getting away with not having to go see it. Every wifie my missus worked with was reading them, so she picked them up for the Kindle to see what all the fuss was about After the first book she said she actually started skipping the f**k scenes because they were so repetitive and badly writtten, and that the target audience was middle-aged women who got their end away once a week with the lights off - the cat had choked up stuff that was more of a turn-on was the exact quote.

We're possibly moving into a lower rent place regardless of the car anyway, itll be at least a year or two before we've enough for a deposit anyway.

Ludo*1
Dundee High is largely regarded as a 'scumballs with money' school. The amount of dealers that have came from the place is astonishing. Edited February 13, 2015 by Ludo *1

The amount of dealers that have came from the place is astonishing. I can name 2, possibly 3 people that were either in the year above me, or the year below me that may dabble in such activity. The place has over 1000 pupils, it's not really an astonishing number at all.

Ludo*1
DonnieDarko, on 13 Feb 2015 - 10:26, said:I can name 2, possibly 3 people that were either in the year above me, or the year below me that may dabble in such activity. The place has over 1000 pupils, it's not really an astonishing number at all. I attended Lawside, a school that has a particularly bad reputation in Dundee being that it was based in Ardler and pooled children from St Mary's and Kirkton as well. And I know far more people that have went on to be 'dodgy' characters that hailed from this supposed 'elite' school than I do from Lawside. Dundee High is a horrendous place, which in general is attended by smarmy, arrogant individuals who cause nothing but bother in the surrounding areas. I know D.C Thomsons used to have a lot of trouble with their pupils causing bother to their staff and the building itself. This is obviously a generalisation, and obviously a sizeable percentage of the pupils go on to do well for themselves, but considering parents are paying very good money for their children to attend, then there's really no excuse for this sort of behaviour.
