Hedgecutter
I've just seen a car driver reading a street map. Remember them? How very 20th Century. I still prefer them.
KnightswoodBear
There is no way ever that Jackie's face has been airbrushed in that photo, no way, no siree. Or it was taken about 15 years ago. She looks like a bit of leather stretched over someones knee now.
chomp my root
Or it was taken about 15 years ago. She looks like a bit of leather stretched over someones knee now. I'd say maybe 30 years ago but as for the rest of it, harsh dude, harsh, its a 'wid' from me and I mean the now version.

Bobby Skidmarks
Wife left me Four months ago. New girlfriend is calling down to stay over. Telling me what all sorts of things she is going to do to me. Been pished for a week and still am. Pouring coffee into me to try and get sober. How on earth do I get sober the fast. I hate to say it, but exercise. Sweat the booze out. Alternatively, you could give your wife a phone. That'll sober you right up.

Hedgecutter
Applied for a new job this morning. Praying it get it. I had an interview this morning and left with the same feeling I went in with: "why did they even bother inviting me when it's a super senior role?!". Reminded me of Spud with the panel in Trainspotting* but with the chair a tad closer. Already got a verbal offer for another job to be signed next week mind. Playing it safe and takes the pressure off a bit. *failed to shoe-horn in "ma pleasure in other people's leisure" or "if things get a bit dodgy I just cannae be bothered". I squandered a great opportunity for the latter actually. Edited October 31, 2014 by Hedgecutter
Widge
The past few days I've been travelling up and down and indeed working in the Greenock. Beautiful views of the Clyde Riviera ©, my arse.
Hedgecutter
I assume you still whacked the speed though? Coke actually. Of the carbonated type. Seriously, thank fcuk I was doing the weird thing of wearing a raincoat over my interview suit as the fountain thing in the bar beforehand sprayed all over the place (including me) when the barmaid tried to use it for the first time today. "apologies for turning up soaked in soda water" otherwise. Edited October 31, 2014 by Hedgecutter

Widge
^^^ scrounging in Gibshill Port Glasgow actually. Fwiw I don't even know anything about Greenock, except it makes Paisley look like Abu Dhabi. On the down side I need to go back next week. After a trip through to Oban.
