Kittel much too good for the rest in winning stage 2 yesterday in the Giro. Good chance he'll nab the pink jersey at the end of today's stage.

Easy for Kittel, he was yards ahead of the rest. Easily the top sprinter just now.

Bad day at the office for Dumoulin, shipped over a minute to the other GC contenders on the last climb, over strade bianche, & couldn't limit his losses on the downhill into the finish. Dropped riight out of the top 10.

Dumoulin got himself back in the top 10.

Considering his bonk, he's only a matter of seconds away from the other GC guys.

Just balanced his first week gains & back at square one.

He's not out of it yet.

Been away on holiday so not seen any of the Giro, but some tremendous attacking today. Chaves and Amador been left behind by the other favourites.

Cracking stage, full gas the whole way. Kruijswijk looking the strongest, but Astana and Movistar will test him when it goes back into the mountains.

Think Nibbles boat has sailed, his form over the past few days has been heading South. Think it's down to Kruijswijk, Valverde & Chavez.

The last couple of days in the mountains, will test his ability to the max.

Remarkable return to form today for Nibali, reminiscent of Armstrong on Mont Ventoux in 2009....

Yeah of course the spike in Nibali's form has to be questioned. Chaves was struggling towards the end, Nibali could well take it tomorrow.

Or Landis? Where the feck did he get that sort of form from. Because, he sure a hell wasn't showing it over the previous three weeks.

Exactly, he looked gubbed in all the previous mountain stages so to say that today's performance was a shock is an understatement.

On multiple stages, he's attacked & been unable to sustain it. Usually culminating in being dropped. Yet, with two MT finishes to go, he suddenly rediscovers form of a year or two ago?

Gutted for Kruijswijk. Like Quintana in the 14 Vuelta, it shows the fine lines between success & failure, when the pressure's on.

That he limited his losses to only sit 1min behind, is testament to his resolve.

Hope Zakarin's ok, looked in a dreadful state, from the aerial shot.
