Smurph
Watching The Twilight sad in a couple of weeks, first gig I have looked forward to in a long time. Where about? I missed tickets for the Glasgow one so I'm tempted to go further afield to see them.

They got a new album out I see. Are they going to hit us with an hour of new stuff or will they mix it up with the older gems?

Punter
Arab Strap on Thursday followed by Twilight Sad on the Friday, both at Sleazy's. Really looking to see Aidan & Malcolm playing together again. Wonder if Scarlett was picking up a ticket when she was in Sleazy's at the weekend? Interviews stating Sad stuff will be mainly off the new album with a couple of re-workings of old ones.

I'll save my pennies toward the besnard lakes at tuts on saturday. I'm so excited I can't wait. I reckon I'll make a c**t of it on the razzle aw day and possibly be crashed out against the speakers by the time they come on

Gutted I'm missing out on Arab Strap and The Twilight Sad, but I bought a ticket for Aidan Moffat and Bill Wells in The Arches. Can I be your +1 for Arab Strap? Managed to secure myself Frightened Rabbit tickets for tomorrow though. Edited November 14, 2011 by Smurph
Tadénator
Saw The Twilight Sad at the Tunnels in Aberdeen tonight. Absolutely phenomenal, although I think I may now be partially deaf.

SaltyTON
When do motorhead tickets go on sale for their 'annual' November gigs in Glasgow? Motörhead are done mate, really not worth seeing now. Lemmy just stands still, using the mic to hold him up and mumbling incoherently. He also has a habit of forgetting the words to songs he's been singing for 30 years! If you want to see them wait until they are at a festival, or supporting someone like they did with Alice Cooper, so at least there'll be a decent band to make the money worthwhile when they ultimately fail to live up to expectations.

forehead7
31st of January. Reel Big Fish at the Garage. I went to the one earlier this year on my own because no one I knows likes them but I've recently be asked for a recommendation on one of their albums by a mate so I'm hoping he'll be up for it.

Punter
Arab Strap were a whole lot of good last night. The singalong to the First Big Weekend chorus was very enjoyable! Superbly supported by The Twilight Sad who done an acoustic set. Means I'm going to have seen the feckers three nights in a row. What a band though, wouldn't get tired of watching. Smurph
Lucky you. Frightened Rabbit on Tuesday were brilliant as expected. Withered Hand put on a good support show too. Mechanical Smile, my mates band, were pretty good again on Wednesday. Tried to get into Arab Strap but it wasn't for happening. Drew a fake stamp on my hand hoping he wouldn't care but I got the measurements a little wrong from what I remembered on Tuesday. Haggled with the guy, and spoke to Aidan Moffat in the toilet, but there wasn't anything he could do - although I've read that it wasn't packed... Would love to see The Twilight Sad but I'm not even going to make an attempt. Instead, I'm off to The Arches and going to see Mr. Scruff. And I might go see Yuck son Sunday.
