forehead7
Never thought I'd hear Napalm Death on Match of the Day Sportscene played Machine Head to advertise the Old Firm game.
DomDom
Sportscene played Machine Head to advertise the Old Firm game. I remember that! I was pure like "THAT'S FUCKIN' MACHINE HEAD!!!" which was met with a resounding "and?".

I'm not surprised, it happened yesterday. Unless it's happened before.
DomDom
Aye, but it completely slipped my mind. I'm not aware of them using it before. Or at least, not that I've heard. What Slayer song did they use?
poang
Aye, but it completely slipped my mind. I'm not aware of them using it before. Or at least, not that I've heard. What Slayer song did they use? They used "Cult" to promote the Saints vs Rangers scottish cup semi final in 2008. And they used "Fuel" by Metallica for the league cup semi the following year Im sure.
Derek Patterson
They used Raining Blood for an intro sequence just a few months back I'm sure.
forehead7
Yeah, I'm sure it was Raining Blood or Bloodline. I've also heard Maiden on MOTD.
NorthernLights
Sportscene used Raining Blood before they showed the highlights of our first trip to Celtic Park since the 9-0 game. BBC Scotland also used Hero of the Day by Metallica for a trailer for our game against Bayern Munich.

Derek Patterson
Sickening single kick work from Nicko on the Wicker Man. I love how every so often they subtly change little accents and embellishments in songs whether it be a guitar lick or drum fill.

Co.Down Hibee
Currently half way through this. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=isGXkh90yQA I love Maiden, over 30 years in the business and still great, first time I saw them was in 83 on the Piece of Mind tour at the Embra Playhouse, outstanding then and brilliant when I took my 12 year old son to see them last year in Belfast, one of the most important bands in British music history without a doubt and not given the respect in the media and music industry that they deserve, ask yourself this in 20 years time will Coldplay sell out 250,000 tickets in Rio? Doubt it Up the Irons!!!!!

IainMorton
http://www.metalhammer.co.uk/news/gojira-uk-dates-confirmed/ Nothing further north then Sheffield. f**k Saw them support Trivium back in 2007 and they were awesome (as were the other support bands Annihilator and Sanctity). Would have gone to see them if there was a Glasgow gig.
Dunning1874
There was a rumour about a month ago that they'd be playing the Garage on June 22nd, which is still free. Hoping the announcement of that has just been delayed for some reason, really want to see them again.
