Mik
Just incase you want to be raged as you watch the video (it wasn't loading up for me so I'll list them below.) Yeah, that's an awful list of Metallica songs. 10. Unforgiven 2 9. Memory Remains 8. The Day That Never Comes 7. St Anger 6. I Disappear 5. Nothing Else Matters 4. Hero of the Day 3. King Nothing 2. Enter Sandman 1. One FWIW, none of those songs are even that bad. (yeah, even #7 is ok). It's just so bad to miss out Kill Em All, Puppets and Ride the Lightning. I think only #6 would be in my actual top 10. Thinking about it, what would be your top ten? 10.Jump In The Fire 9. The Unforgiven 8. Welcome Home (Sanitarium) 7. I Disappear 6. Hit The Lights 5. Fight Fire With Fire 4. Master of Puppets 3. For Whom The Bell Tolls 2. One 1. The Four Horsemen Also, if you want another laugh then look at the other topic for the greatest guitar solos and some of the omissions, I'm not just talking songs either, I'm talking whole bands who don't get mentioned! thanks for saving me watching that video. Yeah...i'm almost sure NME print these things to stir up outrage to get 1. hits on their website and 2. people talking about them.
uni
Here's my not very frequent dip into the Metalhead world. As for KSE and Howard Jones, I'm gutted. I wish I seen them live with Howard as thier lead singer. One of my favourite bands of all time. Currently playing the album End of a Heartache, personally I think As Daylight Dies was a better album and Howard was a better singer than Jessie. I think KSE should stop now unless they reinstate Jessie as a singer. Songs from my day I cannot forget the following; Those were the song that were out when I was in secondary school. I also listened to System of a Down, Guns N Roses and The Offspring quite a lot but they weren't releasing songs at the time. Delighted to see someone post Spineshank!
JasonElgin
Thinking about it, what would be your top ten? 10.Jump In The Fire 9. The Unforgiven 8. Welcome Home (Sanitarium) 7. I Disappear 6. Hit The Lights 5. Fight Fire With Fire 4. Master of Puppets 3. For Whom The Bell Tolls 2. One 1. The Four Horsemen Decent list but i would change a few. My List is 10. Disposable Heroes 9. Leper Messiah 8. Ride The Lightning 7. Of Wolf And Man 6. Aint My Bitch 5. Battery 4. No Remorse 3. Jump In The Fire 2. Whiplash 1. Trapped Under Ice I would probably change my mind tomorrow because there are so many from the first 3 albums that would replace a few on my list.
forehead7
Yeah, it was tough to limit selections, about 95% of the first three albums is amazing so it was a bit tough. I'm still stunned about the NME list. Seriously, the Unforgiven II over the original? The only reason they had anything before the Black Album was because One was there, which would obviously be there. I'd hope Mik is right, I'm struggling to think anyone could actually believe in that list. I know music is subjective but come on! Pretty much everything off of Garage Inc is better than St Anger(the album)!

Derek Patterson
Black metal band cause anti-Islamic outrage Bit ironic considering those type of bands have been ripping the pish out of Christianity for years.
Zizou-5
The new Enter Shikari album is absoloutley fantastic!! I would highly reccomend people give it a listen, it feels like a very BIG album for them and could possibly even put them into arena sized venues.
Big River
Refused are back together again http://officialrefus...view.binero.se/ Great news, are they going to be making a new record or is it just strictly touring? Would like to hear what a new Refused album would sound like. This also ties in with the "songs from back in the day" discussion: What a tune
K.T
Anybody been/ going to Rock am Ring? My girlfriend has suggested we go as it always has the most diverse line-up to fit both our musical tastes. The bands that are announced so far seem good. Tenacious D should be interesting to see live. Machine Head and Soundgarden will be the tits though! Current Line-up Last year's Line-up Edited January 17, 2012 by Kid Twist
Mik
Always fancied Rock AM Ring, it always seems to suit my tastes. I probably will do it one year right enough....Both this years and last years are amazing line-ups for me.
