I’m no fan of the SPFL but criticising the fact that there will always be a conundrum between protecting the public and business interests seems ludicrous to me.... Is not so much that, it's that the spfl is supposed to represent all clubs but smaller clubs quite simply don't get treated fairly

I would say winning the league last season was a huge achievement. Look at the shambles we have avoided down here and all the extra £££££ we got for it. Unlucky lads.
Bairney Rubble
Sorry but no choice. Was anyone else screaming at the East Fife defender swigging from the keepers water bottle last week. When players do not care to take straightforward precautions our league cannot continue.

What an utter fantasist. AL-FFC
Premiership continues to preserve the TV deal, championship to continue to get Hearts back up and an Edinbugh derby the following season.

Both continue for their TV deals. Every team in the lower leagues was asked whether they had the financial means to complete a 27 game season. Every single one of them said yes. League one sides have all now been given a Brucie bonus of 150k worth of free money to spend even though financially they have already said they could complete the season. Every league one side should therefor have more than enough cash to pay for weekly testing so the case for it being financially an issue for them just doesn't hold water. The part time issue is fine but then they shouldn't be allowing Arbroath and Alloa to continue if that's the case. -
AL-FFC
The thing is even if Alloa and Arbroath are part time and have players working they still come into. Contact with folk on a daily basis so in the scenario say 3 players test positive or they don’t have enough to compete a fixture does the club lose the points or is the fixture rearranged ?.

Will be interesting to see how many positives come up in the first round of testing. For those two clubs you could see a lot of people missing their day jobs never mind the football.

Well I'm still waiting for someone to give me a reason for why testing couldn't have been carried out in. League one to allow it to carry on. And as I said finance should not be an issue.

It’s not going to change the fact that the spread of the virus means that our division as a WHOLE cannot sustain testing. This is probably a gesture by the SPFL to keep football running at some level before the SG took the decision later this week to stop the entire card. Something that the SPFL cannot afford to happen due to their ties with TV.... He's only complaining about the suspension as he has a minimum of 3 weeks not complaining about the quality of football, Simmons, Dowds, Mercer, transfers. He would complaining about having nothing to complain about

Believe The Hype
I imagine the lower leagues are riddled with it without showing any symptoms, be lucky to get a full card of fixtures each week with some not even having enough players in their squad to field a team if they were tested once or twice a week.

The idea that the prem struggles weekly with positives but somehow covid doesn’t exist at league 1 and league 2 level is mental. Whats far more likely is players have it - see Gaz Miller and mutch for the rangers game - and don’t know it. That’s not in itself a problem, just a shame the fucking thing is so easily transmitted!
Shadwell Dog
Funny how this decision has been taken by the spfl without little or no correspondence or agreement from the clubs whilst every other decision seems to require one vote or another.
