Now if you want to pretend that the likes of Nesbitt, Donaldson, Oliver and co can stand up to that to win a league then your kidding yourself on. Too many shitebags not enough winners. With the signings we’ve made so far, it’s almost as if McGlynn has recognised the need for more physicality in the team . Im pretty certain the next few signings might also look to address the need for more pace/power/physicality and less shitebagness.
Hartleys18/19Army
In regards to Morrison I'm really torn on him. Yes when on form he can be exciting to watch and has good numbers from last season. I think he's capable of more but I guess that's why he's in league 1. On the other hand he's now been part of several failed league campaigns so he can not be excluded from being part of the problem. I don't think we'll get any better than him and can only hope he might kick on a bit more next year by being much more consistent.

He’s been playing almost always as a center half at St Mirren apparently but I seem to remember either Houston or Presley playing him as a right for us during a wee loan spell? If true I’m guessing he’ll probably have offers further up the pyramid anyway. He'll be back at St Johnstone.
ChoppeReid
Bit late to this but just listened to the latest Falkirk Daft podcast. Apologies if it’s been discussed but what is the point of signing up to FSS if they are going to stop buying shares and just hand the subs to club. Is the whole point of fan ownership not to look to have a model where the fans own club. Surely better to save up the cash and try and use to buy out the old board. Although not at the current £2m valuation which is insane for a tier 3 football club with no assets.

Probably because seeking to buy up the shares already in the hands of the “old board” (which I think might be open to many interpretations), you are basically giving absolutely nothing to the club…..not a penny.

The board are all fans who are also subscribers of FSS and all bar one are patrons. We now own and run the club. All you need to do that is have over 50%. Buying shares from the msg and the Rawlins means the club won’t be able to top up the first team budget, or invest in the academy. What it will do is put money in peoples pockets, some of whom left a bit of a mess behind. I wouldn’t want to reward them for that. They’ve gone from the majority to the minority. There’s something appealing about that.

The previous MSG have already been almost completely bought out, between the patrons group and the FSS the fans will own approximately 50% of the club then over and above that there’s probably at least another 15 to 20% smaller shareholdings owned by fans. The whole point of the FSS wasn’t just to buy the allocated 26% shareholding but to provide a continuous funding stream indefinitely that should in theory help the club be more competitive on the park and in terms of infrastructure while also giving the fans an actual say on how the club is ran and they’re money is spent. The FSS is now the clubs single largest shareholder with the patrons group the next largest. We are already now a majority fan owned club. The point of continuing to pay your FSS £10 a month is quite obvious, your money will go directly into the club and it also gives you a vote and therefore a voice on who is elected on to the club BOD. Shabba
The obvious issue I see with fan ownership is that there is no pot of money available for major spending. The money gets spent buying shares but you are reliant on the overall club making a profit and having cash in the bank to do things like upgrade pitches, make major signings etc. Getting the share purchase completed with this loans means the continual subscription money can then be used to build a cash pot to cover the running of the club outwith normal profit and loss. If it continues in the long run, the club is fan owned but also brings in additional money every month from the subscriptions. I know other fan owned clubs have experienced the cash problems that normally are covered by rich benefactors or shareholders who are able to help in a time of need

Long Suffering Bairn
The only reason Morrison is still with us is because of his inconsistency. He has flair, skill and can dribble past defenders for fun and score a few wonder goals, but only on those occasions when he is on the top of his form. 60% of the time he is not. Too much of a risk for a higher league team except maybe the league above us but even then the hot and cold nature of his form would make that doubtful. In saying that I'm sure his agent could easily make a video with clips that would impress many a team much bigger than us but once they investigated more they'd realise what we all do. After the above I still think he is a great asset to the club, when on form easily our best player, probably earns a dozen points in the league for us by himself. Exactly this^ We are where we are and Callumn Morrison is one of the best wingers you'll get in this league, cant be expecting him to score every week or play well every week when the whole team plays poorly

That’s not correct, or even close. SA and MR were major components of the MSG, and have not been bought out. The only “buy out” or “buy back” related to LM and AT. CL too perhaps. No-one has bought out the MSG members.

By that measure, and if agreed by the members, then the FSS could seek to be allied to something specific (like the academy) as well as funding the squad. It’s a delicate balance though, as if you take the here and now, and subs were going mostly to McGlynn, there could and would be significant division on whether or not that was a wise use of the money……purely based on trust.
