Thought this from first leg. RC never really troubled. Championship looks a cracker. A few key signings for the majority of clubs will be the difference.

It has a real late 80s/early 90s look to it, if you disregard Livi & QP. Potential for decent games between evenly matched sides with good crowds.

A total pumping was inevitable. Have to think we have a brilliant chance of winning the Championship next season. I know people will rightly say that's too ambitious and we should be looking to reach the playoffs but I expect this to be the weakest Championship for a long time. In fact looking back when has it been weaker? Round about the Hughes era maybe. I wouldn’t say it’s weak. There just isn’t (yet) an obvious cash monster unlike most other seasons. Raith’s owners will invest, as will QP. Ayr seem to be flush and Livi will come down with a lot of SPL funding. I’m not pessimistic but it’ll be tough.

Still think we’ll need a few quality starters if playoffs/title are going to be realistic.
badgerthewitness
I'm certainly glad we aren't going into next season not knowing if we have an effective starting 11. I expect a few clubs will start the season while still trying to put a team together, something we've had to do in the past.

Even though I think we have a very good team, we still need to add some quality to improve the squad from last season as we’re competing in a tougher league

HonestAl
Thank God Ross County are not coming down. By buying enough tickets, they’ve got a very good young manager in Don Cowie, love his relaxed (on the outside) manner. Pre-match Ian Murray was fairly negative (“long season”, “hard match”) which surprised me. Rovers have several / many fine players though. For Falkirk, realistically The Premiership looks a fair wee step beyond where we are currently. (I mean, to achieve the aim of being a solid mid table side). Also, while I understand the absolute need to balance the books, working with a squad of 20 for the whole of next season will present John & Paul with difficulties. I’m thinking of the last couple of games this season without Lang, Donaldson & Henderson. If that happens in the first quarter next season, we could find ourselves adrift at the foot of the league. Doom and gloom…..I’m guilty, I know, but our club has optimised growth in every area so much that there can’t be much left untouched. Season tickets (I’ve purchased my first since Lambie was around), FSS (signed up last year and now increased my monthly payment) are two but the open and honest financial statements from BoD don’t really provide any room for additional playing staff. Springfield
Covered already but we’re going to face three/four clubs that will have budgets quite a bit higher than most, safe money on QP RR Ayr. Livi is probably the worry and could be either well backed or more in line with the rest of the league. Glad we’ve got the majority of squad all in place, and sure we’ll bring in a couple of crackers.
NavyBlueArmy1876
I reckon next season may be the most competitive Championship ever. 9th place to go down with 45 points and the league winner to struggle to get to 60

Easton leaving will be a massive leveller for Raith and Livi's new signings haven't filled me with fear. 3/4 quality signings and we should be in and around the promotion playoffs. Where’s Easton going mate ?

Bairney The Dinosaur
Probably the first year in while there isn't a clear front runner, however I also don't see there being any poor teams either.

kiddy
Staying up is the standard, playoffs are the target & if they somehow manage to win the division that would be a huge bonus! I can remember last time coming up from the third division & getting completely horsed, at Brockville, in the first game v Dumbarton 5-0! Sure Derek Whiteford got a hat-trick? Still scarred by a few heavy defeats to Hearts & Dundee too. Edited May 26 by kiddy

Bairney The Dinosaur
Fordyce has left Airdrie. With Mackie signing on again I'm not sure we would be in the market for another CB, but he would fit the bill as an expienced player who can play across the back 4.
North West
Tbh it's good to see Falkirk come back up a level even if it is just for a season. The Pars will need a bitch, you guys obvious fit the bill perfectly.
