auldtoonbairn
Connor has come on leaps and bounds in 2 years , the board put him on a contract till 2017 at the start of the season , need to be realistic no club in their right minds would turn down that kind of money It must be more than we got for Kingsley which was £750.000 . We also need to reinvest in our academy players again .
Guest
Mcgrandles should be our first million pound player but knowing our board it will be around 500k plus 'add ons' the only add on I want to see is a 25% sell on fee. That is exactly the figure I believe we got. His agent is Alex McLeish's son by the way.
Guest
What is the problem with "Old Man Smith" as you put it. Of course they want to keep our best players and hope no bids come in but when a bigger club comes calling, then you have to cash in at the right price. So cashing in now for 500k + add on's is the right deal for the lad you and I believe to be the best player we have produced.

LovaMan Bairn
If it's £500k that's a disgrace.
Guest
If it's £500k that's a disgrace. That is my understanding of the up front bit. Heard it now from a few people

CraigFFC_
According to one of the football magazines a few months ago it said we got 850k upfront for Kingsley.
Monkey Tennis
Falkirk's capacity for producing players that bigger clubs want is genuinely impressive. If it just keeps the club in basically the same place however, you'd have to ask ultimately, as a fan, what it's all for.
Andy Dufresne
Brian Graham is going to St Johnstone on loan so that is him ruled out then.
Kris.
The previous record fee was £400k wasn't it? Have to imagine it'll be at least £500k then. Hopefully there is a decent sell on fee added to the deal as well. Disappointed to see him leave, but if it means we can bring in another few players to strengthen the squad overall then you can't complain too much. Although I genuinely wouldn't be surprised if we didn't bring anyone in, such is the board we have.

Bigbri
Come on get the rumour mill going. Who is in the market who is willing to work for peanuts and prepared to be roundly abused by the baying hounds of Westfield if he is not as good as McGrandles?
FFC 1876
This is why our board never disclose the fee involved because either way they are fcuked if the fee is too low in supporters eyes(majority of the time) then rightly so the supporters get angry and if the fee is high then we rightly as supporters expect some of the money to go to the playing budget. Our board imo have proved they don't care about the supporters or playing side with this sale. Why sell your best player with no chance of replacing him with anyone of his calibre so late on in the transfer window. WHY ?. We know the money isn't going to be used on the team and even if it was going to be whos left out there the rory bouldings or going back a few seasons the sean higgins' they aren't going to improve the team. This 'exceptional offer' doesn't fly with me, mcgrandles was only going to get better and holding onto him till next summer would have been the best thing for the team and the best thing for the club in terms of transfer fee imo. He was only going to attract more interest especially seen as the so called 'big boys' are in our league. Mcgrandles is the best player we have brought through our academy to date why sell him for the first decent offer.
CowdenConvert
Mcgrandles is the best player we have brought through our academy to date why sell him for the first decent offer. You answered your own question mate. They had a decent offer and the eyes went kerching. They reason they didn't hold out is he could get halved at the weekend and then no more kerching. They can't afford to replace him either way so may as well cash in.If they didn't extract maximum value from the deal they should get themselves an agent to do it for them like players do. If none of it goes back into the team either they're A. utter greedy wankers B. don't want to do a Livi C. In it to piss you off
Disco Duck
We sell a player for a record transfer fee (undisclosed probably at Norwich's request), and our fans go into meltdown because the figure they made up in their heads was too low. Plus ca change...
RandomGuy.
If none of it goes back into the team either they're A. utter greedy wankers B. don't want to do a Livi C. In it to piss you off OR like us and Dundee United are doing. They don't want to spunk the money as soon as possible on someone thats not good enough and would rather keep it safe until a decent player comes along that would actually be worth it.
Bring Back Paddy Flannery
Is the 1 million figure quoted accurate? If so then that's a cracking bit of business. Apologies if this has already been discussed, can't be arsed reading back.
