Steve McQueen Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 He read out an email on You're on Sky Sports, it was the joke that was posted here yesterday about Beckham turning down Newcastle.
Guest basil Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Marsh, appearing on phone-in programme You're On Sky Sports, is believed to have joked that David Beckham had turned down a move to Newcastle after hearing of the trouble with the "Toon Army in Asia".
Dev Alahan Posted January 25, 2005 Posted January 25, 2005 Marsh is a bit of a tosser, I won't miss him. To me it will improve Sky Sports coverage. He's a bit of an idiot for saying that live on TV. It's one thing telling that joke in a pub with friends or on an internet messageboard, but it's quite another to say that type of thing on national telly. Guys like Marsh must know that one mistake like that and they'll be out, especially after what happened to Ron Atkinson. Lack of judgment. I'm 37.
BerwickMad Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 Watched it live and i dont think anyone on the show could believe it. Marsh was proud of his joke though and couldnt stop laughing.
young_bairn Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 The guys a total bell end. I remember not so long ag when Mutu was getting punted from chelski that when they were talking about recreational drugs e.g cocaine, He said he didn't see what the problem was because everybody has tried it and its not as if it's against the law
Guest Lisbon_Lion Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 David Beckham was subject of an £8million bid from Newcastle to Real. Real accepted the bid, however Beckham refused. He said after what the Toon Army did to Thailand and Sri Lanka he didn't want any part of it..... This was the joke and he started bursting out laughing
Guest Wheezy Posted January 26, 2005 Posted January 26, 2005 There's an opporunity for setting up an agency for disgraced pundits with him and Ron and a few others.
