King Kebab
Loved it, thought it great, Missy is in danger of running away with the show every time she's on though!!! Might even watch it again as I see it's on again today but with both parts edited together into a film length feature!!! Missy, wid or widnae??? Lovely bone structure!!!
Bully Wee Villa
Another excellent story. Every time Missy has been involved we've had a good episode, so far. I don't want her turning up all the time till we get bored of her like Delgado used to but I certainly wouldn't mind seeing her again before the series has finished.
RandomGuy.
Have a feeling these episodes are just there as a pre-cursor to whatevers going to happen with the Missy and Doctor relationship later on
Mr. Brightside
Btw, watching that episode again, Moffat has totally ripped off Return of the Jedi for that episode.
meanmistermustard
Missy stole the show and there were some good scenes but I fell asleep and had to rewind twice!! The story was ok but this everybody lives pish is fucking annoying and the glasses are embarrassing.
KnightswoodBear
Btw, watching that episode again, Moffat has totally ripped off Return of the Jedi for that episode. Most of Davros' taunting of the Doctor was pretty much the Emperor taunting Luke in RotJ.
killienick
I thought that episode was pretty rubbish. The chair scenes were excellent and some of missy's lines were toppers but on the whole it was a bit pap. The whole TARDIS thing was a bit annoying - it seemed lazy to just invent a new power for it to have. There was a far more interesting story in there somewhere for me. (the cup of tea line though - )
DA Baracus
Bits of it were decent, but other parts were pretty hard to care about. The Daleks have been rendered utterly harmless now. So many times they are easily defeated by the Doctor, and once again he easily bested them, this time using a fucking sewer. They don’t pose any threat now. He was in the middle of their home planet for f**k sake and there was zero peril to him. Even Missy was dancing around and nothing happened. The whole ‘I knew what you were up to Davros’ stuff was nonsense as well. Basically the Doctor knows all about every trap/plot and is semi invincible. Where is the threat? Where is the danger? Also it looks like no one has mentioned it, but surely the ‘hybrid’ that Davos was on about will be the big bad of the series?
killienick
Is this timey wimey? The Doctor kept going on about Clara saying mercy and it shouldn't be in a Dalek's vocabulary. Dalek's have said mercy before on several occasions, (the big bang for example), so why wasn't the same conversation had previously? It just seemed an excuse to go back and be the 'good man'. p.s. I know it's the Doctor going back which adds this word to the vocab but just wondering why, if it's so unusual, he hasn't picked up on it before now?
Fide
I enjoyed it overall. I thought the scene where Clara was inside the Dalek and missy was making her say things was superb. A good insight into Dalek-thought. And Michelle Gomez steals every scene she's on. EXCEPTIONAL character.

EXCEPTIONAL character. when the doctor discovered it was Clara I thought for 5 minutes he was gonna tell her he couldn't unplug her and she would become a Dalek herself, just the whole scene was set up for an emotional moment like that

All the "hybrids" were seemingly destroyed by the sewer daleks though, of course nothing ever dies in the Who-verse
Widge
Surely a hybrid Dalek/Timelord has the ability to regenerate?
killienick
Could Clara be the hybrid? She was in the casing and could have absorbed some regeneration energy too?
Widge
Could Clara be the hybrid? She was in the casing and could have absorbed some regeneration energy too? Possibly. We never really got an explanation as to why she was a Dalek the first time we met her. It's possible that those were actually real memories she had and that the Matt Smith doctor is actually finding her after all the events that take place with Capaldi. Then again it's early in the morning and I'm very tired.

RandomGuy.
Could Clara be the hybrid? She was in the casing and could have absorbed some regeneration energy too? Why would she have? It was the Daleks getting the energy, not the casing, she was effectively just in a "tin can"
killienick
Why would she have? It was the Daleks getting the energy, not the casing, she was effectively just in a "tin can" Just a possibility. She did have a neural interface and if that is the way the energy was transmitted, (bearing in mind it was transmitted through the wiring from Davros' lair), then it's a possibility that the casings themselves were the recipients of the energy and through the neural link, deposited the energy. They made a point of only showing the energy going into the Daleks and this is the flaw in my theory, however, there was no explanation of how Davros was linked to the other Daleks and this could be a technological link? Edited to say. It's a Moff thing to do. Set up something innocuous at the start, only for it to be re-visited at the end of the series. Zen Archer (Raconteur)
So, the script calls for Clara to be tied upside down whilst wearing a skirt, what the f**k?
